"So far, what I've learned about you is that you're in college and majoring in criminal justice to eventually become a detective," Lorelai told Daniel, "Oh! and you're British."Daniel had asked her out to coffee in the morning before she had gone to work.
Daniel nodded, "and that I like my coffee with biscuits."
"Cookies," she said, correcting him.
He smiled back at her, "I'm British, it's what we call them."
Lorelai laughed and nodded, "okay, but you have to tell me..., is tea time a real thing, or is it something that's a myth about the British?"
"Well to me it's real. I enjoy my cup of tea, but to my Mum, she hates it. But she loves coffee," he answered.
"But you like both?" Lorelai asked.
He nodded, "I do."
"Good to know," she said, taking another sip of her coffee.
"Well, since you know so much about me, why don't you tell me more about yourself?" he asked.
She nodded, "Well. I'm American, but Italian if you want to be specific. I went to Boston University where I majored in Forensic Psychology-"
"Wait you're talking about this in the past tense," he interrupted.
Lorelai shrugged, "I tend to do that. But I also have a major in international psychology, at Yale. I say this in past tense because I'm here now and done with that. I'm now majoring in sociology at Georgetown."
"So you like psychology and you're very smart," he stated.
Lorelai took a sip of her drink, "I guess you can say that."
Then she felt her phone vibrate in her sweater. She took it out and looked at it.
Where are you? We got a new case. - Spencer.
"I have to go. I'm late for work," she said in a hurry grabbing her coat and bag.
Daniel got up, "I can drive you."
"Oh, no it's fine I can walk," she shook her head.
"Lorelai, I'm driving you, come on," he said, grabbing her bag and coat walking to his car.
They both got into the car. He looked over to her as she put her seat belt on then waited for the car to start.
"Oh right, you need an address, it's 935 Pennsylvania Avenue," she told him.
He nodded, starting the car and driving. Once they made it to the front, she grabbed her bag.
"You work at the FBI?" he asked.
Lorelai nodded, "yeah."
"I thought you went to college," he said confused.
"I do. I'm getting my 3rd Ph.D. But, I have to go. I'll talk to you later," she said, getting out of the car and putting her badge on.
He nodded, still confused, "Ph.D.?"
She turned around putting her head close to the window, "I'll explain everything when I get back. It's complicated."
"Bye," she said walking into the building leaving a confused Daniel behind.
She walked through the lobby going straight into the elevator. Once she made it to the third floor, she ran out, heading towards her desk.
She opened the door, "I'm here," she said out of breath, "I'm here. Sorry, I'm late."
"Where were you?" Morgan asked sitting at his desk.
