Chapter 26 ~ Life is so slow and yet love moves in a blink of an eye

December of 2012 I was alone, cold and pretty drunk sitting on the corner of a street that I had no idea of the name of nor did I want to know. I took a swing of my bottle

Empty.

I threw it across the street hearing it break and shatter as it hit the ground

My eyes began to sag and as they closed I pictured my family, my friends, and my brothers looking down on me in my drunken state

"Excuse me"

My eyes shot open and I came face to face with a girl

I sat up eyeing her over

She had a black skirt on with a white top, and an apron; she had bright blonde hair, dark greenish blue eyes that glowed in the streets lights, her hands were crossed of her chest and her nails painted a light pink colour

I groaned and got up

"Yeah, yeah I know 'I'm not allowed to sit here'" I mumbled kind of pissed she was asking me to move

"No, you can sit there" she answered back unfolding her arms awkwardly

"I was just going to ask if I could sit with you" she looked away

"But it's obvious you don't want me to—-"

"Ah. No, no you can sit" I motioned to the ground and sat down again

She smiled slightly lowering herself to the ground and sitting next to me on the side of the street

We stayed like that in silence for a while with the occasional car drove past and the street lights flickered

I could hear music beating from the club down the street that I was just at; until of course when I got kicked out for drinking too much

"Do you want something to eat?" the girl asked quietly looking to the side

"What?"

"Well... uh I heard from my um brother that when you're ... drunk eating is really good for getting ... um undrunk...?" she sounded unsure of her words and I just smirked

"Undrunk?" I questioned trying to hold in my laugh

"Uhh... yeah"

"You mean sober up. And I can hold my alcohol don't worry babe" I winked at her using what my older brother calls the Miller charm

"Oh... yeah um okay" She blushed awkwardly as we went back to silence

"Willow" I read her name tag

"Hm?" She looked up at me as if before deep in thought

I noticed her eyes shined in the street lights and I couldn't look away, I continued to stare until she looked away awkwardly

"Sorry" I apologized remembering it's probably weird to have a stranger stare at you for so long
