( Tsukishima x Reader) His One And Only

Your manager has finally came back from her vacation. Which meant you were back to your daily shifts.

The day had come when the team would be going to training camp. Meaning that your boyfriend, Kei, would be gone for a week during school hours. Man was it going to be lonely.

You were on your work shift. Doing the same as usual, greeting customers, taking orders and serving.  Usually at this time, Tsukishima would come by and order a strawberry shortcake and something to drink. But he wouldn't be coming by anytime soon.

You and your boyfriend would text each other during the night, asking how each other's days were or anything that would come to mind. But there was only one problem.... it was those annoying girls that have a thing for Kei. It was kind of a struggle to ignore them. Where they would shove and tease you in the hallways, and say things in the bathroom making you uneasy and a little irritated. You didn't show it but things they said... would hurt you at some points. Putting you into deep thoughts of the way you act, your looks, or even being around in the first place.

You were laying down at home. Staring up at the ceiling. It was late but you couldn't go to sleep. You were exhausted from your shift and had already turned in next weeks work.

*ding*

Your phone beeped, indicating you've received a message from someone. It was Kei.

You:
Hey, it's pretty late ...aren't aren't you supposed to be asleep?

I could say the same to you. What's wrong, why aren't you sleeping. You have school tomorrow don't you?
You:
Sorry... I just can't sleep. There isn't anything wrong . Why aren't you asleep? Aren't you tired from aren't. You tired from your practice games ? You should get some rest.

Can't seem to sleep either.
I gotta go, goodnight.
You:
Ok goodnight....

You:
Hey Kei?

You soon drifted off to sleep.

Time skip- morning

You woke up the next morning and got ready for school doing your normal routine. It was yet another day of the week where you wouldn't get to see Kei.
You sighed as you exited your apartment building. You headed over to the cafe where you greeted your manager. Asking if she needed help with anything before you left for school.

Time skip- lunch

It was lunch break and you were reviewing your notes like always. You sat alone at your desk staring at the window. 'It's a beautiful day...' you thought.
You glanced at your wrist to see your silver bracelet that Kei gave you. Smiling from remembering how he asked you to be his.

Today was a Thursday. You remembered that your boyfriend would be back from training camp on Sunday so it was something to look forward too. But at the same time it seemed so far away.

You decided that you wanted to buy him a gift. He's done so much for you. So you've been saving up. You wanted to buy him a stuffed dinosaur. You couldn't afford much so at least it was something. The stuffed animal that you wanted to buy for him cost 3225 yen
(About 30 dollars). You would usually spend that much to buy meals for the week but this was acceptable. Bills would need to be paid soon so you limited how much to spend. You still had a couple of snacks stacked on top of your fridge. So you'd be fine..... you hope.
