Epilogue

*ONE YEAR LATER*

Seokjin sat on a stool in front of the large crowd. He smiled.
"I just want to thank you guys for patiently waiting for me. I'm sure you all heard from the news the craziness my husband and I went through." He sighed deeply. "We are still healing but we'll be ok because we're healing together. My husband and I were having struggles in our marriage and a lot happened between us but overall it made us both stronger, wiser and much closer. Life is too short so please remind your family, friends and significant others that you love them. Also I love you all, who stood and supported me. I love you guys."
Everyone in the crowd cheered.
"I'm going to perform my new song that my husband and I wrote together." He looked at Taehyung who blew a kiss at him.
"It's called Love Maze, if you know the words, please sing with us."
The music began playing.

Taehyung turned around when someone touched his back. He smiled widely and hugged Minsun.
"How are you feeling? I didn't know if you were going to make it?"
"I'm feeling a lot better and I wouldn't miss this for the world. This is a beautiful song you two made together. I love the words."
"We just spoke from our hearts." He blushed.
"I'm happy for you guys." She kissed his forehead. "I'm even happier that you two are here. You both are brave."
He fought back tears. "I need to apologize to you again."
"Taehyung-ah, I've told you before don't apologize."
"But he almost killed you."
"He was a sick man Taehyung, there was nothing we could do about it. He was going to harm whoever he felt was in his way. I would rather it be me than your parents, siblings or nephews. I've always told you I'm strong." She giggled. "Ah Tae don't cry honey." She hugged him tightly. "Don't let him take your smile. You're the survivor so you have so much to smile about, ok?"
He nodded wiping his eyes. "You're right Auntie. Thank you and I'm happy you came."
She smiled and hugged him.

After the concert, Taehyung and Seokjin joined their families for dinner. Taehyung smiled holding his youngest nephew.
Seokjin cleared his throat. "I have an announcement to make."
Everyone looked at him. "Our surrogate has successfully reached her third trimester." Everyone cheered. "And we've kept it to ourselves but we have another surprise." He looked at Taehyung who blushed a bit as he smiled.
"We're having twins, a girl and a boy."
"Aah I'm so excited!" Soomin exclaimed.
Taihee hugged him. "Congratulations Hyung."
"Thank you Tai-yah." He patted his brother's back. It made him feel good that they managed to heal their bad relationship.
"We gotta have a baby shower!" Seokjin's mother said.
"We're looking for a venue now." Taehyung said.
"Let us help please!" Soomin begged.
"Yes please!" Both their mother's begged.
Taehyung laughed. "Of course you can."
Seokjin smiled softly watching everyone happily laughing and talking. This was how he wanted things. This was how he imagined their life. He looked forward to the years to come. He looked at Taehyung who took his hand. They smiled at each other.

"If you need anything let us know." Taehyung told the young woman.
"Thank you, you've made everything comfortable for me and the food was amazing." She smiled.
"You're so welcome and thank you for doing this."
"It's an honor." She bowed her head.
He bowed as well. "Good night."
"Good night Taehyung-ssi."
He shut the door. After his shower he went into the bedroom where Seokjin was sitting on the bed staring at his lyrics.
"How is Hyejin?"
"She's fine, just tired." He changed into his pajamas and climbed into the bed. Seokjin placed his notepad on the nightstand and wrapped his arms around Taehyung.
"You look tired. Do you still have nightmares?"
"Sometimes." He whispered. "It just makes me upset because this could've been avoidable."
"Remember what our trauma therapist told us. It was inevitable. Even if you ignored him he would've found a way to you."
"I know. I just hate that he died, I feel like his victims never got justice. His death should've been slow and brutal."
"He's right where he belongs. Just like you're where you belong."
Taehyung looked at him. "And where is that?"
"Right here at home, in bed safely tucked in my arms."
Taehyung smiled and kissed his lips. "And this is where I always want to be."
Forever?"
"For eternity, it's going to be you and I," Taehyung nuzzled his nose into Seokjin's neck. He kissed his collarbone.
Seokjin kissed his lips. "You and I have been through so much but we proved our love was stronger."
"Our love was always strong it's just you and I had to get it together."
He nodded. "And you and I did."
Taehyung giggled. "There's something else I'd like you and I to do." He ran his finger along his husband's bare chest.
"And what's that?" Seokjin licked his lips.
"Get some sleep so we're not late to my art exhibit tomorrow morning." He giggled when Seokjin slapped his butt.
"I'll let you off the hook tonight but tomorrow you won't be lucky."
He turned off the light hugging his husband tightly.
"I love you."
