I was talking with my bro EndieStories about the episode "In Dreams".
And the part where Connie turns into Obsidian and stomps Steven made us realize two things:
One:Connie has INDEED played a part in Steven's trauma and has in fact hurt Steven before.
Two:If she hasn't hurt him or played a role in his trauma, then she wouldn't have been in the dream. Same with the Crystal Gems.
That Dream version of Obsidian was a clear sign that Connie AND the Gems have hurt Steven and played a part in his eventual corruption, making Connie's speech in I Am My Monster look even more hypocritical.
