She breathed in the blood. Tasted it on her tongue. The ferocious beast inside reveled in the warmth it brought. She paced the arena, looking for her next kill. Her next victim.
A horn blasted and a cage door rattled. She snarled and turned. Before the animal could fully enter the open area she had torn it apart.
Screams from the stands shook her core. Her claws ripped into the carcass. Blood soaked she flapped her wings ascending to the top of the arena. Sun filtered through the bars.
Her heart cried out to feel the sun on her fur again.
Another horn sounded and she dived down, ending another life. Her mind no longer could feel empathy. She only knew that she had to kill.
For if she did not, she would die.
