Wednesday Night

"I killed him."

Nothing could prepare me for those words.

I didn't know what to do,

Or how to process.

My mind begin racing, I thought maybe, if I'd came in earlier, I could've stop it.

But I knew even if I did, it wouldn't have made a difference.

Maray told me everything that had led to that point.

To where she was forced to kill him.

KILL a person.

I wasn't prepared, but i couldn't leave her here alone.

Staring at the man's bludgeoned head, I asked,

"So what do we do now?"

"We?"

"Yes we."

I honestly didn't know what to do.

I should've known what to do.

But I knew I was suppose to help her.

She opened her mouth.

Ironically enough, she sounded scared than when she told me she killed him, when she asks

"Do we....do we call the police?"

That would be the best option.

But, she just murdered someone.

I didn't want her to be taken to jail if worst case scenario.

But, he was gonna kill her.

And he hurt her mom.

The bastard tried to take them away from this world.

From me.

"Are you sure?"

I didn't know what I was thinking when I asked that.

What else were we gonna do?

She silently pondered.

I could tell she didn't want to though

"We have to. We have to get my mom help."

After that we called the police, the seriff department arrived quickly since many had already been in a five mile radius area due to what happen at Meyer's party.

When the sheriff and the deputy saw the body, surprisingly they didn't proceed to arrest the girl

However, Sheriff Erik didn't seem to happy when he saw Marsy broken down exterior and then when he saw the medic put her mom in the ambulance .

He almost broke down himself.

The deputy had told him that he could just sit this one out, but he didn't.

Sheriff Erik was Marsy's dad bestfriend. So, to see the near death of both of the girls he'd sworn to protect hurt him dearly.

He felt as if he'd fail.

They took us to the hospital afterwards, so we could be with her mom while they asked questions.

Yet, it seemed like Marsy was asking most of them.

"WILL MY MOM BE OKAY?"

I turned over to my left to see Marsy arguing with the deputy.

"From where we're standing she may be paralyzed due to damage inflicted on her head, so they don't know when she'll wake up or-."
