"This reminds me of Mom's apartment." Jace smiled

   "How so?" Mark asked

"A ghetto was looking thing. It's cute." He giggled

"Well I'm fairly sure this was a ghetto was neighbourhood before all this." Jess giggled

"Nah, really? I thought it's where all the rich people lived." Jace laughed

   "Alright you two." Mark giggled

"You can't even attempt to scold me without laughing." Jace laughed

"Alright. Mark, Jess, we should go sign up for jobs, and hand in the consent letter." I sighed

"You mean you two agreed?" Jace asked

"Yeah but my ass is going with you." Mark said

"Works for me. It was recommended for you anyway." Jace laughed

Jace, Jenn, Mark, and I walked to the job board looking it over carefully. Jess signed up to be a nurse, and I signed up to help in the school. I was a little upset that neither Jace or Jess would be getting an education but I knew they had their hearts set on what they were doing. Jace and Mark would both work from 6am to 6pm every week day and they were on call 24/7, Jess worked 5am to 5pm and was on call as well, I worked 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Mark and Jace had to go to a tryout type thing to see what position they would be best suited for later today. Jess and I planned to go watch. I was a little nervous for Mark because I've only ever seen him in close combat, nothing else.

"Are you nervous?" Jess asked Jace

   "No." He laughed

"How about you Mark?" Jess asked

"Nah. I think I'm pretty good. I've used this kind of stuff before." Mark smiled

"Dad, do you not remember how that went? What if you get front line rather than wall guard?" Jace asked

"I'll be fine Jace." Mark assured him

Soon it was time for them to go into the training grounds with the other trainees. Jess and I sat off to the side and watched. As I expected Jace picked up a bow, Mark did as well which shocked me. Even Jace looked shocked as Mark drew the arrow back, aiming at his target. Mark released the arrow and almost shot a bullseye. I saw Jace giggle as he fired his own arrow, splitting Mark's in half. I noticed two other men watching Jace and Mark as they wrote something on the clip board. One of the two approached Jace.

"Can you fire this for me?" He asked holding a pistol

"Wouldn't that make to much noise?" Jace asked quickly

"Silencer. I figured you'd know that there cadet." The man laughed

Jace cringed at the name the man called him as he grabbed the pistol. I watched him inhale and pull the trigger, hitting the bullseye on the target.

"How are you with a sniper?" The man asked as the other had Mark do the same thing

"God, I haven't touched one in years." Jace sighed

"Let's give it a shot. Left handed?" He asked

"Yeah, but a right handed sniper if you can, please." Jace asked

   "Why?"

"I learned on right-handed fire arms. My uh, my cadet corps was to cheap to get left-handed ones." Jace said quietly
