"You're such a dumbass." I giggled punching Marks arm lightly

"Oh come on. I'm only as dumb as you make me out to be." Mark laughed

   "Then you're pretty stupid."

"You're a dick." Mark giggled kissing me softly

"Come on you goober. You may have gotten the day off but I gotta go." I laughed

   "Noooo." Mark wined

"I gotta work Babe. To many children to help give big brain." I giggled

"Ugh. Jobs are horrible things. Sex is so much better." He laughed

"I can't disagree with you there Markimoo. But work is also important." I smiled as I got dressed

I heard mark sigh dramatically behind me as I buttoned my jeans. I kissed him softly before walking out of our bedroom and leaving our apartment. I walked to the school, kicking my feet into the snow along the way. It was a chilly morning as I walked, meeting Mason at his door.

"Fuckin cold out." He muttered to himself

"I know. Sucks for the kids at lunch."  I sighed

"Yeah. May be an indoor lunch today. I don't think many of the kids have warm clothing yet." Mason reminded me

"Me either. Jace mentioned about finding a bunch of kids stuff outside. They should be back in a few days. Hopefully with some good things." I said hopeful

"Is he planning on going out again after this? I thought Jess was due soon." He asked

"She is. Jace just wanted to see if he could get anything extra for the baby. We don't have a lot here, which shocks me to be honest." I explained

"With all the women who are or who have had babies in the past few months I'm shocked we don't have more." Mason agreed

I smiled at him as we reached the school. We arrived early so we could get a fire going and prepare the classroom for the day. Because Jace was still outside we wouldn't have him teaching any of the kids again today. I sighed softly as I put a few logs in the fire, then I prepared my lessons for the day.

Today Jace got out of quarantine from his journey. Mark, Jess, and I met him as he left the center.

"Jaceipoo!" Jess smiled as she hugged him

"Look what I brought back for you." Jace smiled as he pulled a chocolate bar from his bag

"God I love you!" Jess said taking the candy from him

"It's good to have you back kiddo." I smiled

"Oh, I have a few toys and stuff for the baby, too." Jace said as we began walking back to their apartment

Jace kept showing us little things he found. He just seemed to get more excited with each thing. I smiled as we reached his apartment and he started putting the items away in the babies room. I can't believe he ever doubted himself as a father, he's going to be an amazing Dad.

"Pa, what do you thinks of this?" He asked pointing to a stuffy he'd sown back togeather

"I think the half pint is gonna love it." I smiled

"Really Babe, Half Pint?" Mark laughed

"You're parents never called you that as a kid?"
