Hearing an ancient song
in the translucent tongue of cells,
we bend to unearth a solitary bulb
or watch a sweet bud swell.
Rich rhythms tap out the seasons
in endless hoop-shaped rounds.
As wisdom keeps harmony's reason,
we strive to strengthen its sound.
