As I was dragged out of the house, I tried to focus on the man in front of me, his black, curly hair bouncing as he ran out of the building, reaching the stairs as he pulled me along with him. Feeling dizzier with each step, I glanced behind me for a moment, admiring the modern mansion behind us, quickly becoming smaller in the distance as we kept moving, finally reaching the driveway. As if on cue, two blinding lights appeared int he distance, quickly growing in size as the outline of a black car drove up to us, screeching as it stopped only a few feet away. The black BMW's windows were tinted which, in the dark night, made it impossible for me to see anyone inside.

No longer caring about the company I was in anymore, since it couldn't possibly be any worse than Suho and his men, I shook my arm out of the man's hold and walked right over to the car, parked and ready to go. As I yanked the door open, I plopped myself down in the passenger's seat, sinking into the plushy material of the comfortable seat. The world around me was spinning as I leaned my head back and closed my eyes for a second, hearing the back doors open and shut as well as my rescuers entered the car.

"Everyone okay? Any injuries?" the man beside me asked, probably turning over to check the others in the back. I was guessing at this point, not wanting to open my eyes before my surroundings would once again stop spinning.

"All good, just a few scratches, nothing big. The same can't be said for EXO, though," one of them snickered.

"You goddamn rascals," the driver said. You could hear him smile as he uttered the words, obviously not caring about the condition of anyone who was still inside of the house. I fully understood him.

Not wasting another moment, the motor was kicked to life as he pressed the spider, the wheels of the car spinning for a moment in the loose gravel of the driveway before we sped off. Putting distance behind ourselves and the dark mansions as the gunshots disappeared in the background.

Our surroundings passed by quickly outside of the window as we sped through the streets of Seoul. I turned my head and opened my eyes for a second, looking at the driver and was not even surprised to see the man from the airport gate sitting behind the steering wheel. He looked so in control as he pressed the speeder even further, pushing the car to go faster, but I still remembered tripping him over with a suitcase as I outmaneuvered him at the airport. I had escaped him before, and I could probably do it again if it became necessary.

Deciding to figure out my situation later, I turned my head away and focused my attention on my arm once again, looking down at the would and noticing that the gunshot had been a lot deeper than I had initially predicted. Taking my hand off for a moment, I watched how the blood began flowing again, colouring my skin a deep crimson as it flowed down my arm. I was glad that my first instinct had been to put pressure on the wound since it made it much easier for me to assess the injury now, not having lost a dangerous amount of blood. Ripping off a piece of my shirt, exposing the stomach as I tore off the material from the bottom of the pullover, I decided that this was probably the closest I would get to gauze at this particular moment in time. This had to do, I thought, as I began dressing my arm to help the blood clot and seal the wound. I could feel their eyes on me, all three of them watching me as I wrapped the fabric around my arm, using my teeth to bite the end of it as I tied it tightly in a knot. Deciding against making an improvised tourniquet, since they often failed, I once again began putting pressure on the wound with my hand. No one said anything. Perfect. The silence was much appreciated. For a moment, I was thankful for dropping out of law school, my medical knowledge would probably save my life one day if I decided to stay on this road, living beside criminals and mafias. My legs hurt as well, and my neck, but there was nothing I could do about it at the moment.

The silence didn't last long, though, as the three men began discussing the spectacle and shootout from earlier, what had gone down, plans, allies, and enemies. It all tied back to the USB, but none of them disturbed me as I looked out of the window, watching the lights as we sped past them, their glowing bulbs disappearing in the distance as we moved through the city. I decided to close my eyes for a moment and block out the talking, breathing in steady breaths, in and out, as I felt sleep invite me in, beckoning me to leave the troublesome world behind.
