The moon hangs overhead like a ball of light
The stars dot the sky with crystalline brilliance
The cats mewl to each other as a stray dog whines
A racoon digs through a plastic bag scraping through the garbage
A lonely woman stares out the window at the streets below
A man whistles as he lumbers down the sidewalk
A lone owl hoots from the park as a mouse scurries through the grass
One car drives down the road with the radio down low
One group of young men and women walk out of a bar giggling and drunk
One old house has light through its window shining outside
In the house is an old woman knitting a cap
The moon falls and the sun rises
The stars fade and the sky brightens
The cats leave their alleys
A racoon hides from the sun
A woman is no longer at the window
A man has come home
One car pulls into a driveway
One group of drunks disperse
One old house has its windows open and lights off
In the house an old woman is in the kitchen making breakfast
