"What the hell do you mean the doctors dead?!" Shadow demanded as he stood in Tower's office, it'd been days since anyone had seen the blue blur or Eggman, yet the news Tower's had brought to Team Dark was unsettling 

"A lower team of agents went to scout the newest of Doctor Eggman's bases of operation, once they arrived the place was totalled, the doors were thrown off there hinges and every on the mechanical systems were disabled or destroyed, the team went ahead to assess his computers, think that Sonic had gone ahead and attacked" Towers explained as Shadow, Rouge and omega listened to each detail described "Yet everything was destroyed and beyond repair, and as they were about to leave they found Ivor Boren Robotnik dead in one of his labs"

"But who on Mobius could've done that" Rouge cursed under her breath

"At first we believed it was Shadow, but knowing what little family that he had remaining we thought otherwise" Towers sighed "But we are unsure of who could've done it"

"So we have a missing hero and now a dangerous murderer?" Rouge sighed

"The Faker had his reasons to disappear Rouge" Shadow glared towards her and she fell silent with guilt, the human looked between the two noticing the tension

"All that aside, I need the three of you to find the culprit and bring them in for questioning and then the charges for murder will be presented to court" Towers spoke breaking the glare that Shadow was giving his partner to the glare Towers was now receiving 

"Anyone could've mustered that kind of strength to kill the doctor who's killed countless Commander, who's to say it wasn't your team who did it and blamed someone else" Shadow snapped

"Anyone with that kind of strength is a danger to everyone" Tower's snapped as he stood from his chair and met Shadow's glared, yet there was a presence that wasn't there before that sent chills down their spines

"Everyone can be a danger to each other Towers" the voice was familiar yet different from how any of them remembered it "Especially out of strong emotions such as fear and anger, you should know better than anyone"

when they turned all they saw was an almost black hedgehog while glowing white eyes and blood staining his gloves, a dark purple aura radiating around him a dangerous vibe being sent throughout the room

"Fak-" Shadow never finished as he was thrown across the room but an unknown force, he landed with a grunt as object fell and were knocked over

"That's not my name Shadow~ You know exactly what it is" The laugh was dark and filled with danger as Sonic watched

"big blue you need to calm down" Rouge frowned as she stood, yet she too was pulled up and slammed down, there was a deafening crack as she let out a pained gasp

"You tell me to calm down after what you did?" The question was filled with anger "I did everything for everyone! i dealt with everyone's fucking bullshit! And yet! You still don't understand a fucking thing I said!" there was a hint of hurt in his voice as the aura around him spread and made the room feel heavy

"I-I'm sorry" Rouge struggled to speak as much as she struggled to move

"And so was Ivor" Shadow stared at the darker hedgehog of the one who had usually been so hyped up and relaxed to the thing that honestly scared him, the one who had the audacity to kill Eggman "But then again he never really meant it, he knew what could happen when I was pushed to my limits, after all it was his fault in the first place" a smirk grew on Sonic's face, it met his pupiless eyes 

"Your the one who killed him?" Towers questioned in a low voice, yet received a laugh in response

"Thought you of all people would've been happy Towers" Sonic chuckled and in a blink of an eye he was right in front of the human, who swallowed a lump in his throat "You were the one who always got mad that I always let him run, always saying i was putting everyone's lives in danger because of him" there was something sharp suddenly at Tower's neck that made him fall still

"And I never thought you would've gone through with it" Towers stated lowly as Rouge remained unable to get up while Shadow was barely standing and Omega stood still "What do you plan on doing now?"

"My plans are none of your business Human" The words dripped like venom off of the hedgehogs tongue as whatever was at Tower's throat pushed in harder "I really thought you would've recognised me from the shooting ten years ago, a four year old found in an alley staring at a dead body when a nurse found him, you were there too, a new recruit from what I remember" Towers froze at that, wide eyed and filled with a sudden realisation "Your the one who found that my parents were alive and wanted nothing to do with me, not that i care since their dead now and then suddenly a jump four years and I save a village from a robot and an insane human, and I was crowned a hero and suddenly I felt happy that I was able to do something and yet here we are... a hedgehog all alone, because he made simple mistakes, and now he wants to make the world suffer for putting so much fucking pressure on him to be perfect and making it seem the blame was all on him" Sonic spat, the room was filled with silence and then there was sound all round them, an alarm was blaring as the room began to clear from the dark aura that had filled in every nook and cranny 

and yet Sonic was gone again Rouge unconscious from the pain, Shadow leaning against the wall injured, Omega powered off and The commander slumped over the desk that was now covered in thick red liquid
