CHAPTER 12: I'M COMING
Chase and Xion were so worried the next day when they couldn't find Manuel. They waited for him after school the day before but he was no where in sight.
"Let's check the school clinic. I hate to think this way but maybe they got to him again," Chase suggested but they didn't want to think that way.
The reality of the omegas life was gruesome but it was undeniably real and painful. They wished they could save their friend but they had no power over pack politics. This is why they stayed close to him and helped whenever they could.
If they could at least protect him on school grounds then they were going to do what they could.
"Hey. Still no sign of Manny?" Shane asked as soon as they met the pair of witches.
The fairies were also worried about the omega.
Shane had gone to check on Adrian but there was still no sign of him waking up and that got him worried.
They had found out if Manuel not be claimed by his birthday, he would be given away. Adrian and Manuel didn't have much time left.
"Nothing. We were just going to check the clinic...just in case something happened," Xion said and they all headed the same way.
As soon as they got to the school clinic, they were worried because Manny wasn't there but at the same time relieved that they didn't find him injured and broken.
"Hello. It doesn't look like you all aren't well, so if you could explain why you have filled up my work area?" Luke asked with his usual smile.
"Good morning, Mr Ledger. We were just looking for Manuel," Chase explained.
"Oh! Don't worry about Manny. I left him safe and sound at my house," he said shocking everyone.
"What is he doing at your house?" Xion asked because Manny had never agreed to go to anyone's house in fear of getting home late or in getting trouble with the alpha.
"I will only tell you because i know you're his close friends. That stupid wolf Antonio tried to rape him yesterday and our little pup managed to escape but he was petrified to go back to the pack house and so he came to us last night," the vampire explained.
"But isn't vampire territory unsafe for a wolf?" Lance asked concerned.
"Yes it is, but every single person knows how bad Manuel has it with his pack. When we told our leader the situation, he was mad with the pack and felt sympathy for Manuel. He said he could stay as long as he needed to be because no one deserves what he gets," Luke said with a frown remembering how Manuel kept waking up screaming because of nightmares.
"If you want you can all come along and see him after school. I think he needs to know he has a lot of people who care about him on his side," Luke said and they all agreed.
After school the crew headed to the parking lot to meet Luke and Franco when they bumped into Chris and Kane.
"Hey baby. I missed you," Kane said as he wrapped his arms around a blushing Chase.
"I missed you too, but I need to go," Chase said as he slipped out of his grasp.
"Really? Where are you going?" The beta pouted at his mate.
"We need to go and check on Manuel," Xion explained as he dragged his friend who seemed to be falling for the charms of his mate.
"Manuel? Can we come along?" Chris finally spoke earning a deep sigh from Shane.
"Stay away from Manny. He already has a mate." Shane lashed out shocking everyone.
"Wait, what?! But I was told he was mateless," Chris answer in shock.
"My older brother is his mate, so stay back," Shane advanced before Lance held him back.
"Calm down, Hunnie. He didn't know," Lance said after reading Chris confused thoughts.
"Wow. I'm sorry. I had no idea. I just wanted to help out. If I could get Manny out of that situation, I was glad to help. I had no intention of stealing anyone's mate," Chris said felling a bit disappointed because he had developed genuine feelings for Manuel.
"Fine. As long as you know now I guess you can come along. Let's go so that you can all be back home before sunset," Franco said cutting their conversation.
They arrived at the house about 30 minutes later to find it empty. They called Manny and checked every room but he was nowhere in sight.
Franco then pulled out his phone and made a call.
"Hey. Where are you? Where is Manuel...he said what...you just let him leave...you were supposed to keep him here...I didn't say that...he is not safe out there...fine, come over," Franco said frustrated.
"What's going on?" Luke asked concerned.
"Trace said Manuel left saying he was leaving to meet up with us," Franco said and everyone got worried because that was a straight up lie.
"Why would Manny lie? Let me call him," Xion said but they heard the ring tone ring nearby.
After a little searching they found his phone in the lounge on the couch and where shocked at the chats they found.

You made a mistake by not coming home last night.
I had a surprise for you
Are you really ignoring me right now
I found out who the idiot you were calling for is
Stupid bitxh, you're mine not some stupid fairies
Only a weakling like you would be mated to something like a fairy
On the bright side his gorgeous though. I'm going to make sure I fuxk him before I kill him

What are you talking about?
Antonio
Oh so that got your attention. Well it wasn't hard to capture him. He is as weak as you are.
[Inserts a picture of a sleeping Adrian]
So beautiful, so innocent, so dead

Don't you dare touch him you psychopath
Antonio
If you are here within the hour then, maybe I won't harm him too much
Manuel

"Oh no this means he has both Manny and Adrian now," Chase screamed in panic before Kane held him in comfort.
"Wait a minute," Shane said as he took hold of the phone and looked at the picture of Adrian.
"I took this picture and posted it on Facebook to make fun of my brother," he explained.
"This means Adrian is safe," Lance said in relief.
"But, Manny doesn't know that," Chris said making all the information digest.
"Oh no. They have Manny and he is serious danger. Even worse than before."
