Tsurugi : Nah man, this idea has a base already. She only came up of Tenma as a warrior princess because she read "You Are My Prince" by KyouTakuTen in Fanfiction.net.
(Go check it out it's a good story and you won't regret it. And a bunch of thank yous KyouTakuTen for whirring my mind engines.)
Tsurugi : The thought came from hateful parents to Tenma showing he is worth loving to Tenma being a princess to Tenma being a warrior princess. Inspiration of some sort.
