PART 3: A LOVE LOST

"A ray of sunshine, she was,
Sent to brighten him on the worst of days.

If she was the mould, he was the clay,
If she was the sun, he was the stormy cloud.

How unfortunate, that he could handle her not,
Not when his darkness was way too strong,
And the demons gripped him for way too long,
Choking the air out of his poor lungs.

And in turn causing wounds for them both,
Emotional, mental and in all folds.
Surely, these scars would not hasten to go,
The resulting end of their last fight.
What a sad plight!

She was his only lifeline and light,
The one that made him want to fight,
She was the air that he breathed,
The one that never left him unfilled,
She was his happiness,
Unfortunate, that he could never fully express,
The extent, of his love, for the goddess,
The goddess of his heart.

But their love, however pure,
Could not remain untainted,
From the dark issues uncured.
The same test over and over created,
To stretch their love to it's wit's end,
Then the inevitable, their love could not stay curated,
For it could no longer hold them firm.

The loss of her,
Tore his heart apart,
Unsettled his entire life,
Went through like a knife.

Because he lost her,
He knew in his heart of heart,
That a good chunk of him, had departed with her.

Now, he's left with a void,
Doomed to carry his empty soul
Aimlessly wandering, searching,
For something to dull the ache,

Would he ever find redemption?
Yet again, that poses a question,
To which the answer is unknown."
