Overalls~

So in my first strict parents chapter thing, someone said that it would be cool if someone posted a chapter explaining how to style your outfit with overalls... so that's exactly what I'm doing! Well actually they said which shirts to wear... but I just sorta generalized it, so hope you enjoy and that these are helpful!

So, with overalls you can have it in multiple different styles, so I'm going to try and split the photos up into those different styles!

Grunge~

So if you're going for more of the grunge look that is ever so popular nowadays, you can pair it with a color contrasting belt (in other words if the overalls are light you get a dark belt and vise versa) a beanie, and a necklace, as for the shirt, it can really be any shirt, once again you'll probably want it to be color contrasting to the overalls like the belt. 

Comfy and cozy~ 

I don't know the name for it hehe

You can pair the overalls, be it short or long overalls with some fluffy sweater, turtlenecks are nice especially for short overalls since it elongates the outfit  a bit. You also don't need much jewelry for this look, maybe a bracelet or earrings would add some pop, but that's about it.

General~

So if you just want a t-shirt and overalls, overalls are quite versatile, so you can wear nearly anything with it, an off the shoulder form hugging top, long sleeve, short sleeve, crop tops, loose tees. They all work well with it. But what's important is that the colors opposing a little. Because if the colors are too similar then the colors blend together, and it's not as visually appealing as if there were a separation between between the two colors, so if you're wearing dark blue denim overalls, maybe avoid blue and go for a lighter colors, if not go for black. If it's light blue denim overalls, try a darker shirt, or go for a shade of pink or yellow or something to oppose the light blue. I hope that this all made sense and was helpful!

Oh, right! Shoes, so with overalls you can really go with any type of shoe. Heels, boots, flats, sneakers, you name it. But you just want to make sure that the color fits, with dark overalls you may want to go with a light shoe, while with lighter overalls you mean just want to make sure that the overalls and shoes aren't the same color. However, you can pair really bright vibrant shoes with a more dull blue color of denim if you really want a blue themed outfit. -I've found that brown shoes go nicely with overalls but that might just be me heheh-
