Non-despair AU

I was walking down the hallway, clearly watching where I was going, that was until I bumped into a white-haired boy "Ah! I'm so sorry!" you did it again Y/N! I swear... "It's fine! Don't worry!" he helped me up. "May I get your name?" I nodded "I'm Y/N L/N, the ultimate Y/T" "Nagito Komaeda, the ultimate lucky student!" I got super excited "Whoa! That's such a good talent!" he scratched the back of his head "It's not really much of a talent! Hope's Peak just picked me, an ordinary guy!" 

We talked for a while until the bell rang. We said our goodbyes and walked back to our classes.

~The next day~

I bumped into Komaeda again and we had another nice conversation. He showed me some of his friends like Chiaki, Hajime, Akane, etc. I was amazed at their talents, but I told Hajime it was ok if he didn't have a talent.

"Hey L/N?" Komaeda put his hand on my shoulder "yeah?" he looked at me "why are you friends with trash?" I gave him the T_T face "Komaeda you're not trash, and I'm friends with you because you're by far one of the sweetest people I've ever met!" we both smiled and kept talking.

Over the week, I kept on bumping into Komaeda and we just talked, nothing else. We've known each other for three whole years, and every time we see each other, I always bump into him. I soon realized I had feelings for him, I just never got the courage to tell him.

I bumped into Komaeda while I was walking out of Hope's Peak, "hey bagel boy!" he smiled and helped me up "hey N/N" we just talked and talked. "I wanted to ask you something" was he gonna?- 

"Do you want to go to a cafe with me later? If not, I understand! You probably wouldn't want to be seen with me-" I sighed "yes, I'll go to the cafe with you as long as you stop insulting yourself" he smiled and nodded. "So what time?" he thought for a few seconds "5:00 PM" I nodded and we walked home together "I'll see you at five!" he smiled and waved goodbye.

~Timeskip~

I walked to the cafe and bumped into Komaeda "heya!" he helped me up and smiled "Hey N/N" we went into the cafe and I hit my side on the table, honestly, I was used to it. We ordered and we had a nice chat, I noticed Komaeda staring at me...strangely. 

Eventually, we got out of the cafe and just talking some more. "Hey L/N, I asked you to come to the cafe for a reason" I kinda got the wrong idea...I honestly thought he was gonna say he didn't wanna be friends with me anymore "a-and what was that reason?" he took a deep breath "I've had feelings for you for a very long time and I didn't really know how to tell you and I wanted to know if you would be my girlfriend!" I smiled and nodded.
