I don't own Percy Jackson or any other heroes you are familiar with, Rick Riordan owns them
Hi. I realised that I left you all on a bit of a cliffhanger for Chapter 18 - Part C, so I decided to publish this chapter. If you notice any mistakes, just let me know. And I have tried to word this as well as I can, but this might be a bit of a confusing chapter. Look down below for the Author's Note.
This chapter is also dedicated to @RazeOlympus for pointing out a major loophole I didn't notice. Thank you for that. If anyone else notices a loophole, just let me know.
Chapter 18 – Part C
Time skip 2 and a half years
Percy's pov
I look at Blaze. He huffs. It's just the two of us again, and he knows what I need at the moment.
"The sword again?" he sighs.
"Yes." I reply.
"This is the fiftieth time now. Shouldn't it be getting better?"
"I'm not sure." I muse, trying to figure it out. "I believe that the periods of time are slowly getting longer."
"It better be." Blaze passionates strongly.
Quickly, he flashes from the room. He's gone for a few seconds, before he reappears. In his long talons, is my sword. He carefully passes it over to me.
"Shouldn't we tell someone?" Blaze asks before I do anything.
"Everything will be fine." I tell him softly, trying to reassure the both of us.
After saying that, I'm about to use my powers again to make sure that no one is around.
"You really shouldn't be using your powers." Blaze bluntly informs me. "And it has been a bad choice for me to let you. So, from now on, I'll check our surroundings."
I make a sound of agreement, so he quickly uses his own powers to check our surroundings. He informs me that it is clear. I give him a nod. I then focus on what I need to do.
I put the edge of my sword Life, on the palm of my hand. Then in a second, I control it to make a slight slit in the palm of my hand, a place where blood slowly forms. Carefully, I place the blade of the sword on my wound, and focus.
Quickly, an aqua blue glow comes from inside my sword and is easy to view from the outside. My sword is literally glowing a light aqua colour, very similar to the colour of the ocean.
I apply more pressure to the wound and carefully focus. The aqua light forms a light and goes into my wound. I carefully direct it to go towards my heart and encircle it. I leave it there for a minute or two, before I slowly manipulate it to come back the way it entered at. I do this slower than the time it took to enter, at least half as slow.
When I bring the tentacle of light away, it isn't blue anymore. It isn't even white. It is black. A dark, inky black.
Very carefully, with my other hand, I open a section of the sword. I then direct the black light to go in there. I quickly shut it, keeping it along with all the other ones I have collected, trapped.
Once I get Blaze to put my sword back, I breathe a sigh of relief. Even though I'm feeling drowsy from what I just did, I don't sleep. I stay awake.
