Andrea excused herself again. I stood there looking at Lisa. Why did I have to feel this way? Everything was good in my life until her, or so I thought.

"What are you doing tomorrow?" Lisa managed to ask.

"Probably just going for a walk or something." I said.

"I know this is not all ideal but I need to spend time with you. I need to get to know you." Lisa said. "If your okay with that?"

"Of course I'm okay with it." I smiled.

"Hey." Ashlee walked in. "What's going on?"

"Dean called Todd now he's here." Lisa frowned.

"Are you serious? Ugh I can't stand him sometimes." Ashlee groaned.

"Your going to marry him." I laughed.

"Of course I am because I love him." Ashlee said.

"I want to someday have a love like that." I said.

"It could be closer than you think." Ashlee said.

Lisa blushed. "I should probably head home."

"I will walk out with you." I said.

"Once you get done doing that maybe the two of us can go do something." Ashlee suggested.

"Yeah sounds good." I said.

I followed Lisa out to her car. Andrea's car was gone. I figured she went to get a hotel room or something. Lisa stopped at her car and turned around to me. She pulled out her phone and handed it to me.

"Give me your number. That way I can text you and maybe we can do something tomorrow if your not busy." Lisa suggested.

I took the phone from her and put my number in it. I handed it back to her.

"Thanks." She smiled. "Can I hug you?" Lisa asked.

"You don't got to ask that." I smiled as she pulled me into a hug.

We held each other for what seemed to be a long time until she slowly pulled away. She reached up and touched my cheek. I reached up and grabbed her hand. I squeezed it slightly. She opened her car door and I slowly let her go feeling like a piece of me was going with her. She got in and I watched as she pulled out of the driveway.

When I turned around I saw Ashlee was standing in the doorway holding a glass of wine. She handed it to me as I walked up the steps.

"Do you want to talk about what it is your feeling?" Ashlee asked.

"What's there to talk about? I feel like my world is being flipped upside down. Like...." I sighed. " I like her. I like her more then I should but yet somehow she stirred something in me. The way she looks at me. I..." my phone buzzed and I looked to see it was from a number I didn't have saved.

Hey Shanna it's Lisa.

I smiled as I quickly texted her back.

"Are you going to finish what you were saying?" Ashlee asked.

"Yes. The way she looks at me. I like it a lot. I never had anyone look at me like that. Now it's like, Lisa is stirring up something in me and honestly...." I sighed. "I like the way it feels. I know I probably shouldn't like her because she's your best friend but I can't help it. I'm sorry." I frowned.

"Do you think she likes you?" Ashlee questioned.

"I think she does but she doesn't know what to do with her feelings. That is enough to scare anyone." I bit my lip as I looked at Ashlee.

"You two are adults I can't tell you who you can or can not like. I just don't want to see either of you getting hurt." Ashlee said.

"I know and I don't want that either. I will take my time with her. I don't want to scare her away." I said.

"I know you don't. You know Dean isn't going to be too happy either way because he's afraid that your going to as he put it fuck her and leave." Ashlee frowned.

"I know I been known to play the field but the thing with her is it feels different. She's different." I smiled. "The way she looks at me."

"I know. You know that Todd was her first love. I know he isn't going to give up on her." Ashlee said.

"I don't plan on giving her up either. As long as she's okay with it I'm going to pursue her. I will win her over." I smiled.

"I don't doubt that either." Ashlee smiled.  "Can I be honest with you?"

"Of course you can." I said.

"I think Lisa would be good for you. Enough to tame the wild beast." Ashlee smiled.

The rest of the day passed and all I could do was think about Lisa. After I finished dinner I went to lay down. It was like Lisa knew for my phone lit up with a text from her.

L: Hey I was just thinking about you.

Me: I was actually thinking about you too.

L: I bet you were. So I was thinking that we could get lunch or something tomorrow just the two of us.

Me: That sounds like a date.

L: Not a date. At least not yet. I don't think I'm gay.

Me: Good because labels are for soup cans.

L: You are something else. I think that is why I like you. Maybe I'm curious and I just want to see where this goes.

Me: It can go where ever you want it to. I wouldn't do anything if you didn't want to.

L: You won't break my heart will you?

Me: No. Will you break mine?

L: I can't make promises because I don't know where this is going to go. I know I want to go slow.

Me: We can go as slow as you like.

L: You're sweet.

Me: No just someone that likes you.

L: Are you hitting on me?

Me: Yes.

L: Well keep going.

Me: You are gorgeous.

L: Thank you.

Me: You're welcome. I'm just speaking the truth.

L: I know. I'm going to try and get some sleep now.

Me: Alright. Try not to dream about me.

L: I will try my best not too. Good night.

Me: Good night.

I laid there for a bit staring up at the ceiling. I didn't know what was going to happen with us but I was excited to see where it was going to go.
