Chapter 21

I went back to my office, and felt my phone vibrating, and saw Kaitlyn calling me.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Sishy! Si Sev! Nilalagnat, tapos nagsusuka nandito kami sa hospital ngayon! Puntahan mo dali, itetext ko sa'yo location namin." Kaitlyn said, sounding worried.

"Ha?! Oh sige, pupunta na ako! Jusko naman!" I rushed and grabbed my stuff.

Hinanap ko si Aliana, at nakita ko siyang nakikipag-usap kay Sean. Leche, ba't niya kinakausap 'yon?!

"Aliana!" I rushed and the both of them looked at me.

"Ma'am? Ma'am! Ano po nangyayari sa inyo? Okay lang po ba kayo?" Nag-aalala niyang tanong.

"Aliana, aalis na ako. May emergency kasi, update nalang kita later ha, sige na pakisabi kay mommy na umalis na ako. I'll text her later, sige bye!" I rushed and ran to the elevator.

I went down to the parking, at pumunta sa hospital na tinext sa akin ni Kaitlyn. I gripped my hands on the steering wheel, so hard because I was worried of what will happen to Sev. Baka may masama nang nangyayari sa kanya, at kapag nawala siya 'di ko kakayanin 'yon.

Nakarating na ako sa hospital, and sinalubong ako ni Kait sa lobby.

"Ano nangyari?" I asked with tears on the side of my eyes.

"Hindi ko alam! Hindi mo ba alam na nilalagnat siya? Kanina nung pinakain ko siya ng lunch, sinuka niya. Actually kanina pa siya sumusuka, tapos nung hinaplos ko 'yung leeg ta's noo, mainit." She explained.

"Shit," I whispered and the tear suddenly fell down.

Nakita ko si Sev doon, namumutla siya and he looked at me nanghihina siya.

"Mommy." He whispered and raised his hand to reach me.

"Oh, baby." I covered my mouth and suddenly cried.

"Doc, how is he?" I asked the doctor.

"Oh yes, its a normal fever. But 'yung vomiting niya maybe it's caused by a stomach problem, some kids have it. It's a stomach disease it may be transferred from a family member to your child." The doctor explained.

Naisip ko kung may stomach disease ako, but no. I don't really.  So maybe... Sean does? I'll ask him tomorrow.

"Oh, okay doc. Pero paano 'yung fever niya? How long will it be?" I asked again.

"Normally it lasts for two-three days, if his fever stays longer than that. Don't hesitate to come to the hospital to get him checked." The doctor said and smiled.

"Thank you doc." I nodded and glanced at Sev and I ran up to him, and knelt.

"Are you done work, mommy?" He whispered.

"Yes anak, and I will not work until you are better. Mommy will stay with you, okay?" I smiled.

"Okay, mommy." He nodded nanghihina pa rin.

"If you get better, I will make you meet daddy, okay?" I smiled to cheer him up.

He just smiled and went back to sleep.

Inuwi ko na siya sa unit, and when we got there hiniga ko lang siya sa kama para maka-pahinga siya. I took his temperature, it was on 38 degrees. Kumuha ako ng towel na maliit, at binasa gamit ang malamig na tubig, at pinunas sa ulo, at katawan niya. Nang matapos, tinawagan ko si mommy at Caleb para ma-inform sila tungkol kay Sev.

Minutes later, pumasok si Caleb sa loob ng unit, hinahanap hanap si Sev.

"Si Sev?" He asked.

"Andoon natutulog na, pinunasan ko na rin ng kaunti." I sighed.
