Reconcilation

I stood up and left the building, boarded a taxi and got home.
My phone started ringing and i picked it seeing as it was Lisa calling me.
"Hey babe, how did the interview go?" She asked me and I smiled, I was really glad to have Lisa as my friend and best friend

"It was fine, i really hope i get the job as I really need the money now" I said to her over the phone I say and got out of the taxi seeing as he was at my apartment, I paid him and walked towards my front door

"Don't worry, you're the best in what you do, you will get it. Are you at home ?" She asked me
"Yes i am, I'm just getting home tho, I'll come see you later. I have to go now Love you" I rushed out as I opened the door
"Love you too Kim." She says and hung up the call

I dropped my phone and went into my room to change, I pulled my clothes off and changed into a red camisole  and shorts, tied my hair into a loose bun and got settled to watch "money heist" But it was as though the movie was watching me because my mind had Travelled away

*knock knock* A knock on my door jolted me back to reality and I stood up to open the door, I was not expecting any guests but maybe it's Lisa, After-all she was asking me if i was home "Lisa—" I stopped on seeing who it was, Standing right in front of my door was him! Jace Norman! A full smirk laid upon his face on seeing me so shocked
"Jace what are you doing here" I asked coldly as I looked at him
He attempts to walk into the apartment but I blocked him with my body "Aren't you forgetting something? This is not your house and I will not allow you into mine!" I said coldly and he sighed, Removing his dark shades to look at me in the eye "Kim, I need to talk to you please, Just listen to me" He pleaded and I sighed "Alright, Fine you have exactly five minutes to talk and then you're out of here!" I say to him and stepped outside so he could come in
He walks into the apartment and looks around while I closed the door "Nice place!" He says and I snorted behind him, Was he trying to belittle me? I knew there was nothing nice about my apartment so I didn't need the buttering
He sits on my couch and gestured for me to sit. I rolled my eyes "This is my house, You don't need to tell me where to sit in my home!" I repeated sternly and purposely stressing the fact that it is my house
He sighed and looked at me, I mumbled incoherently and sat down "I'm only here to talk to you Kim, you left without listening to me. Please hear me out." He says and I chuckled harshly

"Okay tell me what you want to Jace , I'm listening to you" I told him and watched as he breathed a sigh of relief

"Actually the lady you saw with me was my ex-fiancée   Melinda, I was so in-love with her. I had proposed to her and we were planning on getting married, I had a few works to complete and i had to travel for some weeks.
I got back and wanted to surprise Melinda, i got to her apartment that day to see her, but she surprised me instead . She was cheating on me with my friend, But I was willing to forget it all with her and continue with the wedding plans, I really loved her ! But she canceled the wedding! She wasn't interested in getting married to me again! That was my breaking point. I was really heartbroken I wasn't myself, i started to distance myself from my family
But then I saw her again at the gala, when you went to the restroom i got a call and excused myself to pick the call. She came to meet me and we started arguing, she suddenly kissed me I was about pulling away when I heard your voice."

                Believe me Kim , I cannot hurt you intentionally. That night we spent together was the best night of my life
I know I hurt you by ignoring you and I know I was a complete jerk to you. I admit I was scared, I was scared you will turn out to be like Melinda but then I realize how stupid I was to compare you to Melinda." He tells me and I looked at him shocked, I could have never believed he went through all of that. Nobody deserved that!

I looked at him and hugged him, "You didn't deserve that Jace but I could never be like her" I said as we held each other.
"Why did you ask me to be your fake girlfriend!" I asked him and he slowly detached from me and stared into my eyes "Truthfully, I wanted to make her jealous, I was the laughing stock the the country for some-while because my fiancée dumped me, I wanted to prove to then that I could move on too. " He says and I hugged him again
We stayed like that for a while till my stomach decided to interrupt us

"Are you hungry little miss Kim he said looking at my stomach" He says and I slapped him arm
"Hahahah very funny Jace, but I don't have anything to eat here" I said and stood up

"Lets go out and eat, go and get dressed" He  said and I complied I went to my room and changed into a black high waist jean and ash turtle neck top

We went outside and he drove us to a restaurant.
We got in and sat down, i made my order and he did his too. The waiter came back and gave us our food.

I want to ask you this formally , Would you like to be my girlfriend Kim, This time for real?" he said and I almost choked on my spit, "Are you serious or you're just joking" I said excitedly

"I'm serious Kim , would you like to be my girlfriend for real this time " He says again and i nodded vigorously
"I would love to be your girlfriend" I say and smiled at him, Maybe my life didn't suck again.
