torches

If lies burned like torches,
Pain would look like scorches

And when those lights blow out,
It'll leave them in a black out

To light the now dead flame,
They would burn and hurt and maim

And when they use it in the dark
They would only see so far

And they'd believe that that is all
they'll not foresee the coming fall

A little step forth in the dark
will bring them right on the X mark

Then will not save their lives
Their little torch of lies

So, where lies burn like torches,
The pain looks more like scorches
