Chapter 12 - Mac and Cheese

After Liv became my girlfriend i was going to make sure she'd have the hole experience, since she had confessed before that she has never had a boyfriend, been kissed or even been flirted with, the last one i think she just didn't notice when someone did.

Well, today i was nervous. really nervous, It was the first time she'd come over to my dorm. I told her i was done with our weekly appointment only and she'd agreed to meet me as often as she could, but she would still make the appointment in her calendar, which made her so endearing.

My phone beeped in my desk and i looked at it with a smile, it was a notification for the reminder She created for us.

SHIT! it is in 15 minutes!

I ran to the bed and quickly folded the sheets and tried to make the bed, it looked a little messy, but still enough, i didn't want her to think i was trying too hard, although she wouldn't even notice.

Then i went to the living area, taking a bag and collecting all the chip bags and empty beer cans that were scattered around. When i went to the kitchen to throw it out, i noticed the sink had some dishes so i quickly began to wash them.

We were going to cook mac and cheese, since it was one of the few foods that i could cook that i knew that she liked. I sighed scrubbing the dishes untill i heard the door knocking. i groaned, my hands full of soap and water

"Liv, Come in!"

I shouted from the kitchen, but the door was not locked so i hoped she'd walk in. There was another ring.

"You can come in" I repeated and i heard her groaning

"But the door is closed!" she shouted and i chuckled a little

"But it is unlocked!" i replied, already in a playful mood

"But i shouldn't just come in! it is disrespectful!" She said back and i chuckled finishing the dishes and quickly drying my hands with a towel and walking to the door. when i opened she was standing there and i opened my eyes with surprise. Her hair was pink. bubble gum pink. She looked so beautiful but it was a little shocking seeing her go from charcoal black to pink.

"I look ridiculous, i know!" she whined and tried holding her hair up in a ponytail, an upset expression on her face.

"What? no noo.." i took a step forward to get closer to her and held her face between my hands to kiss her softly. She closed her eyes and so did i, when we pulled away i rested my forehead in hers "You look gorgeous, i love it" i pecked the tip of her nose "I was just surprised, but you look very good, don't ever say you look ridiculous again" I whispered and she looked at my eyes with her bright blue ones, nodding softly and smiling a little.

"My sister came back again this weekend and she insisted that i dyed it" she frowned "she said i had to be bold and take risks, i hate risks" she scrunched her nose and i chuckled placing my hand on her lower back and inviting her inside my house

"Oh, by the way sorry for taking long to open the door, i was doing the dishes, and you can always come here and walk in at any time, it is not disrespectful because you're my girlfriend and you'll always be welcome here." i leaned down to kiss her temple

"Is that something boyfriends and girlfriends do?" she asked frowning and i chuckled nodding a little and kissing her lips softly one more time

"well, not all of them, but we can do it" i smiled at her and she smiled back

"Okay, then" she rested her head on my shoulder "I like your house, everything is in the same room" she said looking around and i chuckled nodding, my studio apartment was on the small side but it had everything i needed, and it was enough for me to pay it.

"Well, let me give you the tour" i said jokingly walking towards the kitchen "here is the kitchen, we'll be making dinner here in a bit" i said with a realtor's voice "Then we got the bathroom!" i tell her walking her to the bathroom that even if it was a little small, it had a bathtub. and then i took her to the balcony "and here's the balcony, literally the best place in the house." i tell her leaning into the balcony railing and placing my hands on her waist to pull her for a kiss, she obliged and wrapped her arms around my neck to kiss me back.

I take a bold move to deepen the kiss and slip my tongue inside of her mouth, she just lets me in and starts trying to kiss me back as i am kissing her and and there is a flapping sound the startled us, we pull away and a pair of pigeons just landed on the balcony

"Can you believe some people say pigeons existed before cities were built?" i tell her death serious letting out a sigh

"Well, because that's how it is..." she says frowning looking at them, one of them eats a piece of paper thats laying on the floor.

"Can you even imagine pigeons just living in a forest, eating seeds and fruits instead of gutter bagels? I personally just don't buy it"

She looks at me with a frown as she blinks a few times, before her expression cracks in a grin and she bursts out laughing.

I smile big and start laughing along with her, this is such a milestone for me to get her to laugh at such a silly joke, but i hug her while we still laugh just keeping this memory forever in my mind, her laugh is so beautiful and i hope i can make her laugh more often.

"you are so silly" she says with another laugh and i steal a kiss from her lips, with a goofy smile on my face

"Shall we start cooking dinner?" i ask pulling away from her and placing my hand on the small of her back to get her to walk inside. she nods softly and lets my guide her to the small kitchen.

"what are we making?" she asks and i walk her to the bar stool.

"You will watch me cook your favorite dinner" I say matter of factly and i lean down to take a box of mac and cheese from the cabinet. "i know it's a little anticlimactic, but i am a really bad cook and i don't want to mess up your first visit to my house" i apologize and she smiles shaking her head to me

"It doesn't matter, i like this" she points to the mac and cheese "Besides, it is what i gave you the first time you went to my house so we're even" she giggles and i walk to her on the chair and wrap my hands around her beautiful face

"You are amazing, Liv" i whisper and she smiles a little, even blushing and looking away

"Why? for liking mac and cheese?" she giggles and i lean down to kiss her again

"For being you, just that is more than enough" i smile at her and she strokes my cheek softly looking in my eyes

"i didn't know it'd feel so nice to have a boyfriend..." she bites her lip and i chuckle pecking her lips and then i kiss her forehead softly

"Oh, i barely even started, You deserve the best boyfriend someone could ever ask for, and i promise i will try my very very best to give you just that.." i tell her truthfully and she smiles at me sweetly

"You're already the best boyfriend i've ever had" she giggles and i roll my eyes shaking my head

"ohh so you're the one making jokes now" i raise an eyebrow and she bites her lip cutely nodding

"How did i do? I'm a fast learner, you know?" she asks and i smile pecking her lips and stroking her very pink hair

"Not too bad, not as hilarious as i am, but you're getting better" i grin and she smiles back, i pull away to go back to the kitchen counter and get started with the mac and cheese.
