Beam walked into the Engineering food court and sat at an empty table. The environment had calmed down in engineering and the food court was less noisy that day. He rested his chin on his palm and looked around the food court hopefully. Beam had come to Engineering for two purposes. First reason was the obvious one that he wanted to meet Forth. Second reason was to seek help from Lam in getting Forth.
After their first date, Beam had become sure of his feelings towards Forth. He was in love with Forth and he was not going to deny it or get confused over it like his friend Phana. Beam knew Phana had feelings for their high school junior, Wayo. But his friend was too confused and scared that he lost his only chance with Wayo. So, Beam was not going to do the same mistake.
After the moments they shared at the arcade, Beam was confident that Forth too might have feelings for him. Or at least he was sure that Forth was attracted to him. And there was nothing to be confused about his own feelings as Beam was matured enough to differentiate between infatuation and love.
Beam had never loved or dated anyone. It was always casual hook ups or one night stands. And he was always very careful in choosing his partners even if it was for just sex and he always had safe sex with them. He was very frank about not interested in serious relationship and rejected every girl mercilessly. But Forth had broken every barrier he had around his heart within just two days.
They didn't meet under any dramatic or romantic situations like being showed in the drama. But to Beam, it would be the most beautiful memory of how he met Forth, with pony tails and lipstick. They didn't throw cheesy lines at each other or hesitate to approach each other. It was natural and comfortable between them. The gazes, the touches, the hug and even the minimum conversation they had with each other was comfortable and intimate.
Beam broke out of his thoughts when Lam sat in front of him sweating and panting.
"SOTUS?", Beam asked with a chuckle.
"You should have at least got me something to drink", Lam said stretching his arms tired.
"You should have told me if you wanted something", Beam shrugged.
"Stingy", Lam complained.
"Okay, will you stop complaining if I take you out for a coffee?", Beam asked with a chuckle.
"And I guess you want something in return, don't you?", Lam asked looking carefully at Beam.
"Bingo!", Beam laughed while Lam gave him an unamused look.
"How did you come here? Didn't your parents stop you from meeting me after the ruckus you caused?", Lam asked scoffing.
Beam gave a sheepish grin and scratched his head, "I am sorry. I didn't mean to drag you into this mess".
"Well.. you have now and your parents hate me for what you did", Lam heaved a sigh, "anyway, I don't care. I am fine as long as you reached your dorm safely", Lam said getting up from the table, "Can you wait for ten more minutes until I freshen up and change?", Lam asked, "I cant go to a café with a good looking man being a sweating mess".
Beam chuckled and nodded. Lam left the table towards the locker room while Beam's eyes wandered around the food court searching for Forth. The first year students had started to fill the food court as the SOTUS had ended and Beam expected to see Forth.
It had been two days since he had seen Forth and he was missing him badly. He knew Phana and Kit would be angry when they realized that Beam had sneaked out of the bar. But he didn't expect Phana to ground him to his class and room for two days as a punishment. Thankfully, they thought that Beam had left with Lam and for the time being Beam didn't bother to correct them.
