Grace stays silent for the next week. all the boys can do is try talking to her about subjects they know she would love to talk about. Grace smiles a bit as Niall wraps an arm around her and takes her out of the hospital. she hides her head in his neck as the camera flashes almost blind her. Harry walks ahead of Niall and Grace making sure she's safe. they get to the car after what feels like ages and Niall rests Grace beside him buckling her up as Harry drives
"they're all done princess" Niall whispers to her "it's ok"
she pulls away and nods softly looking out her window. Niall sighs as Harry starts to play the radio to lighten the mood. as 'when you're gone' by avril lavigne starts to play Grace starts to sing it just above a whisper. it takes Niall a minute before realizing she's singing to the radio. she gets a bit louder as it hits the chorus. he smiles as she sings. so does Harry for that matter. as the song finishes she goes silent again. Niall looks at her filled with thoughts
"how does that Chorus go again?" Niall asks her
she looks at him and at her fingers
"when you're gone. the pieces of my heart are missing too.. when your gone. the face i came to know is missing to. when you're gone the words i need to hear to always get me through the day. and make it ok. i miss you" she sings softly
he smiles wide at her and kisses her softly
"princess i love you so much" he says
she looks into his eyes and kisses him again. he smiles as they get home. Harry opens the door for her and she walks inside the house limping since she's still in alot of pain. she goes to the kitchen and Louis hugs her softly
"we missed you so much!" Louis tells her "we already made a wonderful dinner for you"
she nods hesitantly
"t-thank you" she says
Niall smiles wide and kisses her again
"thank you for talking" Niall whispers to her
she stays silent for him. she sits down and Louis hands her some mashed potatos to start with and some corn. she eats quickly. Harry smiles. at least her appitite hasn't left. after eating some Niall and Harry both go off to do their own thing and to give her some space. she looks at Louis softly
"Louis i'm not going mute" she says
he looks at her a bit surprised
"why are you hardly speaking then?" he asks
"i'm hardly speaking because i'm tired of hearing Niall and Harry argue over what i say" she says in almost a whisper "i don't want them arguing over me"
Louis hugs her sliding her onto his lap. he nods softly at her. Louis and Grace both sit there silent for a few minutes. trying to think.
"well you can't be silent with them forever." Louis says
she gives a bit of a pouty lip
"nuts!" she says softly
he shrugs and nods. they start to think again
"what if we just say i'm dead?" Grace asks
"think they'd catch on" Louis says "not to mention i'd miss you. so would Li and Zayn"
she nods and sighs
"what if we just tell them both that you want to be their friend instead of girlfriend?" Louis asks
Grace debates on it. she shakes her head
"then both of them will be on me trying to get me to date them" Grace says
