You're the Only One for Me.
Pretty words fall from your mouth,
Just like the snow outside my window
Beautiful crystals, yet so cold—so sharp,
Burning through my fingers,
Pricking my skin like sharp needles,
And somehow I reach out, to touch yet again enticed by its beauty,
Its fair pure form an enchantment to my naive eyes,
Just like how the glistening, intricate, spider's web waits for its prey,
It took me pain and heartache,
For my wings to be torn off and for me to bleed,
To learn that you would never be anything other than a thorn in my flesh,
So this time I'm leaving,
I see the truth in your lies,
The harsh cruelty of your beauty,
The traps set to fall,
How could I have been so blind,
When my eyes were wide open?- I was never yours.
