You Who I Loved More Than Myself.

Let me make a memory,
So that tomorrow when the sky cries,
I can endure the pain,
And live another day.

Fireproof my heart
So that when I see through the glamour,
I see you for who you are,
Not a watered down version of a fairytale,
That speaks of riches and charms,
Show me the scars,
The broken bones and the torn heart
So that I can be strong in showing you mine as well,
Help me see,
That deep down you and I are the same,
Looking to be wanted and wanting to be needed.

The day we laughed,
My memory of that moment so achingly short,
I didn't notice time with you,
Leaves falling and blooming,
This season of us is one i'll never see again.
I find myself growing jealous of those ordinary moments,
In my memories of you friend,
You who I loved more than myself.
