so, i was talking with my counselor today, and she told me something i would have never expected to work.

she told me that to relieve stress, sometimes making your face cold helps. like, dunking it in cold water or putting it in the freezer for a second. literally, it just takes three seconds.

it really works, too. i tried it earlier, and it calmed me down right away. it was a way she told me to do it to calm myself if i think i might have a panic attack.

there's health reasons behind it, too, that back it up! your brain is working with all of your problems before it, and it's going to make you super stressed. but when your face gets cold, then your brain works to warm it up instead of stressing.
