"It's over."

Z Hera exhaled a deep breath as she entered the room and closed the door behind her. Closing her eyes, she slid down the door as everything started coming back to her. She was married now. She gave herself to someone... someone who wasn't going to love her ever. Someone who would hate her forever and make her life hell with each passing day.

She let out a heart wrenching sob as tears flowed down her cheeks uncontrollably. Her body shook as she let herself cry in her misery. People congratulated her with a smile even after knowing the truth of their marriage as if they weren't aware of what Byun Baekhyun has done.

Was it a joke to them?

Was everyone cold in this family?

As if God knew her pain, rain drops started pouring outside and her tears fell freely. She did not bother to wipe them as she stood up and took off her wedding gown, and changed into the red dress which Irene had kept ready for her in the room.

"Hera?" A soft knock on the door made her jump as she glanced up through her teary eyes.

"Are you.. okay?" Irene asked, standing by the door awkwardly. She turned her face away and wiped her tears harshly. She belongs to that family. They are all the same, her mind told her as she stared at the woman.

"Can I be alone for sometime? I need it," she asked in a small voice, but with the heavy rainfall outside, she doubted Irene heard it.

"We're family now."

She was surprised when Irene came to her and held her hands. "Come," she pulled Hera on the couch and sat beside her.

"Irene."

"Suho told me about you," Irene smiled. "I think all we can do is blame situations, it isn't your fault," she said and squeezed her hand. "You didn't know what her intentions were."

"Listen I appreciate it," Hera bit her lip and blinked her eyes to not let her tears fall down. "But, I don't want to hear 'It's going to be alright' and all those things. I messed up. I don't know how many times I've said it, but it's me who messed up. It's not going to be alright. I know it."

"Hera, I'm not going to say Baekhyun is a nice guy, and you will fall in love with him and have a happily ever after. I doubt it," she shifted her gaze to ground, and sighed "He's just the way he is. You'll get used to him."

"You don't know what you're talking about," Hera stared at her ring finger. It took her freedom away.

"I know. I don't know how you're feeling, but you need to be strong. Stop pitying yourself. It happened. Learn to live with it," Irene said, staring right into her eyes and she gulped. Even though her words were harsh, the woman was right, but right now she wanted to just cry this out.
