Her parents were looking at her in disgust, towering her.
Voices were echoing inside her head.
Shadows were overpowering her petite frame.

"You're just a disgrace-a mistake."

They get dangerously close.
And closer.

She took a step back.
But they kept on coming closer.
"I can't even look at you anymore. You are just a pawn in this family."

It's too much.
Stop.
She fell on her behind. She tried to cover her eyes to wake up from this dream.
But, this is reality she's facing.
"You're not worth living here-"
"You should've died."

T-too much... It hurts-
I want to die.
"We're happy without you anyways."
The shadows covered her vision.
They were walking away from her and the shadows engulfed her into a ball, darkness hugging her tightly. She clutched her shirt, hugged her knees close to her, and sobbed quietly.
She can't breathe.
It's too much.
She wanted to give up.
So badly-
"-Ray?"
A tiny flicker of light was seen through the dark.
It grew bigger with each second passing by.
"Ray, wake up."
"AH!"
She woke up.
"Ray! Thank goodness." He hurriedly went to get a glass of water and went back to give it to her. "Here, inumin mo ito."
Inabot ni Bryan ang baso ng tubig kay Mireille. She drank it immediately as soon as she touched the glass.
"Thanks."
He smiled.
Stop. Smiling.
"You're welcome, Sunshine." She looked up upon hearing that nickname.
"Sun... shine?"
"Yeah, it suits you what do you think? A ray of sunshine. Just like you." He took the glass and set it by her bedside table.
"Yeah... I guess." She rubbed her arm and looked away.
Anywhere, but him.
"I guess? Nasaan na yung namumulang Ray tapos sasabihin akong-"
Tinaasan ni Bryan ang boses niya as if imitating Mireille's voice pero parang bakla ang tono.
"Shut up, Bry. I'm not a kid you can tease."
Tumayo si Bryan at rumampa sa harap ni Mireille. Kung ano-anong awkward at kalokohan na posing ang ipinakita niya para tumawa ang dalaga.
"Oi, di ka man lang tatawa?"
Nakita niya kasing tulala ang babae. Namula si Bryan sa ginawa niyang iskandalo kanina at tumalikod kay Mireille.
"M-Make sure this never happened. D-don't... e-even mention this. Ever." He coughed a little.
Naguluhan si Mireille. 'Di niya alam kung tatae ulit siya sa kakatawa o maawa at lalapitan si Bryan.
Silence was the only option.
Baka magkaguluhan.
