"I'm going to miss you"

I'm so confused. I look at everyone and I finally say "Forgot what? What's the big deal if your mom sees me?"

"Sky, the thing is... We never told any of our parents that you're with us." Camila mumbles the last part, but I still hear her loud and clear.

"What? Why?" I ask

"Think about it. How can we call our parents and say 'Hey mom! How is everything there? Oh, and by the way, we kind of kidnapped a girl. Anyway, have a great day!'" Lauren says

"Hmmm, good point," I reply

"If she finds out now, we're goners," Normani says

"Oh my God, what should I do?" Camila asks

"Tell her not to come," Dinah says as if it was the most obvious answer

We all give her a weird look.

"What?" she asks

"I can't just tell my mom not to come, Dinah!" Camila exclaims

"Why not?" Dinah asks

"That's rude! She's my mom for God's sake."

"Hmm, geez, I didn't think that deep into it."

We all roll our eyes at Dinah.

"Okay, how about this. When your mom comes Sky will stay with us. We'll keep Sky away from both of you until your mom leaves." Lauren says

"Yeah, and if we're staying in a hotel again, Sky can stay in one of our rooms." Ally adds

"How long is Sinu staying?" Mani asks

"Like a week, two max. My sister's at home, so mom can't stay that long." Camila replies

"When is she coming?" Dinah asks

"She'll be here tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?! Geez, why didn't they tell us earlier?" Dinah asks

"Honestly, I'm happy the said anything at all. They wanted to keep the whole thing a surprise, but then they realized they needed someone to pick her up."

"Wait, where are we tomorrow?" Ally asks

"I think we're in New York," Lauren says

"You know," I softly began to talk which makes them all turn around to look at me, "Don't you guys have to tell them sooner or later?"

"Yeah, let's make it later," Camila replies

"Why?" I ask

"We don't want our parents to freak out."

"Well, they're going to freak out no matter what so..."

"You know, she is right." Lauren says "We have to tell them sooner or later."

"Yeah, we do have that 1 week off before our world tour. She'll have to come home with one of us." Mani adds

"Okay, okay, can we worry about that later?" Camila quickly says.

I can tell she's really nervous and stressed out. "So, when my mom comes, you'll keep Sky away from both of us, right?" she asks

"Yeah," Lauren replies

"Camz, show Sky a picture of your mom so she'll know who to stay away from," Dinah says

"Okay, good idea," Camila pulls out her phone and walks over to me as she looks for a picture.

She sits down next to me and shows me a picture of a beautiful woman. She has brown hair with a boy cut and is wearing thick glasses. She seems like such a loving, kind-hearted person. I would love to meet her, but whatever.

I look up at Camila and she says "Don't go near her, okay?"

"Okay, whatever. So, I'm not going to see you for two weeks?" My eyes began to well up as I speak.

She looks at me with sad eyes and says with a soft smile "Yeah, honey."

"I'm going to miss you so much." I start to cry as I fall into her, hugging her.

She hugs me back tightly and says softly "Sky, baby, it's not like you won't see me again. I'll see you in two weeks Monkey. And, if I can, I'll talk to you privately when I get the chance."

I look up at her and I say "Promise?" I hold my pinky out

She smiles and interlocks her pinky with mine. "Promise."

"You know what we say about pinky promises, right?" I say smiling

She chuckles a little "Yes, I do know." She pulls me back into a hug and kisses my forehead.

After a few seconds, I ask, as she holds me, "Can I sleep with you tonight?"

"Of course, Monkey."

I cuddle into her and she says "Wait, guys, how is my mom not going to Sky while we're on the bus?"

"I don't know. I guess we can keep Sky in here and tell your mom she can't come in here." Normani replies

"But what if she asks why?" Camila asks

"Just say that it's filled with the crew members' private things or something." Ally says

"Okay, guys. I trust you."

I yawn and Camila looks back down at me. "It's getting pretty late. You wanna go to bed?"

I nod and we both get up and walk towards the bunks.

"So, where are we sleeping?" She asks enthusiastically "Your bunk or mine?"

"Your blankets are way comfier," I say opening the curtains to her bunk

She chuckles and says "Alright, hurry up and get in."

I smile and get under her fluffy blankets. She gets in after me. She wraps her arms tightly around me and pulls me into a koala hug.

"Hey!" I exclaim

"What?!" Camila replies, playfully mocking me

"You're hugging me too tight. I...can't...breathe."

"Well, it looks like you'll have to deal with it. We won't be able to cuddle for the next week or two. You know you'll miss me."

"I don't know if I'll miss this."

"Oh, you love it. Don't try to lie."

I laugh and hug her back. After a few minutes, I whisper "Camila?"

"Hmm?" She responds half asleep

"I'm going to miss you," I say with tears welling up in my eyes

"I'm going to miss you so much more." She replies hugging me tighter if that was even possible. She gives me a kiss on my forehead and whispers "I love you so much, my little monkey."

"I love you too," I reply

With that, we both fall asleep.
