Back in the times of great warriors and battles, before Columbus, before anyone had even thought of completely crossing the ocean, there was a myth made by man.

It goes that if a young woman of the lowest age of sixteen and older, was to be on a boat or in a crew, they would bring misfortune to the crew and vessel. This involved Storms, Deaths, and Diseases brought on board would be all blamed on any woman on board. One crew in particular would cast away the women into the sea to calm it. People began to believe in such tales and agreed to the horrendous ritual. This is what happens here.
