Chapter 16

1 Year Later
CHUUS POV
"Sua, Siyeon we have to go or we are going to be late for the lecture", I yelled from the front door. "Alright here we come", Siyeon said as Sua followed behind. We get in the car and begin our drive to campus, it's been 1 year since I've graduated High School and since I've moved in with Siyeon. I moved in with Siyeon a month after Yves and I broke up, I decided it was the better option if I moved out because Yves had just moved into the other house a month before , so I left so she can have a room and so she didn't have to move out. Around a month after I left Sua and I dated for  5 months but we both decided it was best to stay friends. "We're here",Siyeon said parking the car, we get out and head to our psychology lecture. "Do you still have to go in to work today?", they ask me as we sit in the back of the lecture hall. "Sadly yes, but I'll be out early! The studio is closing at 6 tonight because the owner has plans", I say taking out my book. After high school I got a job at a dance studio taking care of paperwork, it's hell but it pays good. "Well since you are getting off early let's go to the club. And tonight is perfect because we don't have class tomorrow so we can get drunk tonight and rest tomorrow", Sua said excitedly. "Last time I got drunk with you Kimlip and I ended up with the worst hang over the next day", I said laughing at the memory. I am still very close with the rest of the girls, even Olivia and Gowon. "Just think about it", she said pleading I nod and I turn my attention to the professor.

After a couple hours the lecture ended, Sua and Siyeon went home and I went to work, I get to work and head straight to the front desk I set up and clock in "Hey Chuu, how was your class?", I look up and see my boss walk in the front entrance. "Good afternoon Irene, it was the same old same old, talking about mental illnesses and the prefrontal cortex. How has your day been thus far?", I asked sitting back in my chair. "It's been good, I just got back from the cafe but now I have to go get ready to teach class right now though." She said smiling and walking to the back, I nod and I start filing the paperwork on my desk. Once that was done I decided just to do some school work. "Chuu, I have a girl coming in for an interview and I need you to take that over since I'll be teaching, you think you can handle that?", Irene asked peeking her head out from the doorway. "You got it, what time will she be here?", I asked looking over to her. "Any minute now, you can use my office to interview her. Look over her resumé, see if she meets the criteria, and if all goes well you'll be promoted to a manager in the studio", she said winking. "Noted!", i said smiling. She nods and gets back to teaching. A few minutes later I hear the door open "Hello welcome! How c-can I help you?", I look up and see Yves and choerry. "You work here Chuu?", choerry asked a little confused. "Yes, and what are you doing here". I asked trying not to look at Yves. "Yves got me an interview here.", she said smiling. "That's nice of you", I said looking over at Yves. She looks up kind of shocked that I spoke to her, she nods and smiles. "Well let's go get started on your interview", I said walking out from behind my desk, we walk into Irenes office and get started on the interview. I go over her resumé and ask her a couple questions , "I want to go ahead and hire you, I'll talk it over with Irene, and we'll give you a call!", i said smiling at choerry. "I've missed you, and your smile. I know it's been a year since everything happened but I still miss you", she said sitting back in her chair. "I've missed you a lot, I've missed my ray of sunshine", I said chuckling. "Ask the question I know you've been wanting to ask", she said smirking. I sigh and  ask "How has she been?". "She's been better, she still is in love with you.", she said. "How are you though?", she asked curiously. "I mean of course I miss her but it's not like I can just go back to her. She never told me the real reason she broke up with me, she just did it out of the blue! It couldn't have been just because of Heejin", I said sitting up. "Talk to her, ask her why. Don't sit here upset because of something that happened a year ago, you can't let it affect you. When you dated Sua you looked happy but were you really happy?", I sat there not really knowing how to answer, of course I love Sua but I also love Yves. Sua made me feel calm and comforted, but Yves made me feel like I was on top of the world. "When I dated Sua I felt comforted she made me feel special, like I deserved love. When I dated Yves I was head over heels for her and when she broke up with me she broke my heart. It made question if love was real because I know what I felt for her was and is real but I'm not so sure about her", I said sadly. "Try and talk to her, it doesn't have to be about the break up, just make small talk", she said sitting up. "We'll see, but let's head out so Irene can have her office when she finishes her class", she nods and we head out. We get back to the front desk, choerrys phone rings "I'll be back I have to answer this", she says before walking to the entrance, she takes one look back and smirks at me. I set her resumé down and sigh "So how have you been?", Yves asked walking to the front counter. "I've been good, busy with college but good. How about you?", I asked looking up. "I've been okay and also busy with college and managing the cafe", she said quietly. "You got promoted, that's nice! What are you majoring in at school?", I asked genuinely interested. "Majoring in dance and minoring in teaching. What's your major?", she asked leaning on the desk. "If you flip your major and minor that's me.", i said laughing. "That's funny, why minor in dance, why not major? If you don't mind me asking", she chuckled. "I'm just not very confident with my dancing, I enjoy it though.", I said shrugging my shoulders.  "If you'd like I can help you with your dancing", she said quietly. "You don't have to do that I don't want to waste your time", I said  looking up. "I don't have to but I want to, besides it could be fun", she said smiling. "Alright I'll take you up on your offer, how is Friday night I'll ask Irene if I can have the keys and we can practice then", I said smiling. "Sounds like a plan", she said happily. "Yves are you ready to go?", choerry said walking in, she nods and they head out. I sat down kind of excited about Friday. I push that away and continue with the work at my desk. "Hey how was the interview? Should we hire her?", Irene asked walking from the back of the studio. "It went well, I think we should hire her! I have her resumé if you'd like to look at it but all in all I think she should join our team", I said handing her the resumé. "I trust you, tomorrow when you come in go ahead and give her the call and tell her she is hired",she said setting the papers down on the desk. I nod "Alright I'm going to do a walk through of the studio to make sure everyone is gone and we can head out for the day", she said turning back. I pack up my things and wait for Irene to come back so we can lock up. "Ready?", she asked throwing her bag on her shoulder. I nod and we head out, "Do you have any plans for tonight?", She asked as we walked to our cars. "My friends want to go to the club but I'm not really in the mood", I said shrugging my shoulders. "Why not? Go out and have fun, you go to school and work all day, besides you don't have class tomorrow and you don't have to come in until 4 tomorrow so go have fun and get drunk",she said nudging me. "I'll think about it", I said laughing. We say our goodbyes and I drive home.
