Now is finally the day our small competition. Well it IS supposedly just a small competition between two classmates right?
Haha— I don't think so with this amount people.
Hell, even Brian and the protagonists are here. How the hell did I know? Well Brian is basically beside me while there's literally something glowing behind the crowd of people, come on we all know what that glow means, in this world flashy people really shines.
Should I just fake it and lose? No. Not a chance. I won't give up just because I don't wanna caught attention, no matter what happens I should always do my best to win.
"So Nozomu, are you ready?" The purple haired girl said with a confident smirk on her face. Hmph, looking down on me? Just you wait, I'll show you what I practiced for.
"Don't call me by my first name as if we're friends." My cold attitude made her red in anger. As expected of a lady, every single one of then is still a brat, never used to getting disregarded since she can control people's attitude with her money.
"Y-You!"
Seeing that Igaiyu will blow up any moment now, Brian patted my head before letting out a nervous laugh. "That's so mean Nozo-chan, be a little nicer ne?" His grip on my head became tighter that it hurts, I glare and pinch his hand away from me.
"That hurts asshole." I whispered as I glare back at him. This absolute— why does he even have to be here?! Haah! I better go finish this and leave, I don't wanna waste more of my precious time doing useless stuff.
"Let's just start this already." I said getting impatient. As soon as I spoke Igaiyu sat down with a huff, flicking her long purple hair before glaring at me with her cat-like eyes.
Seeing that I didn't respond to her taunting and kept my eyes focused on the board, she started to blabber after making her first move, thus really starting the game.
"Just so you know. My uncle is one of the most well-known chess masters in the world. He used to train me so you better prepare yourself!"
"Is that so." I said not even trying to sound interested.
"Excuse me?! You should be worried! I won a chess tournament last month! If you lose this YOU'RE gonna become a laughing stock."
"..."
"Ehem!"
"Oh sorry— thank you for the concern."
"ARGH! CAN'T YOU JUST BE INTERESTED EVEN FOR JUST A SECOND?!"
"Checkmate." I said finally ending the game. All students around us quickly look at me with wide eyes as soon as I said that. Igaiyu who was shouting a moment ago turned frozen in shock.
I quickly bailed out of the room after I saw a certain handsome orange haired dude pop his head through the crowd to see the sudden drama. Nope—! I cannot let him see me! Not him!
That was such a close call. Now that I played the villainess I don't think she's gonna come after me, a rude girl that embarrassed her and hurt her ego.
Well hehe, looks like I can relax now that I won, this should be alright now, none of them would bother me anymore. FREEDOM! AT LAST!
"Nozomu! Why did you finish her off that quickly?! Where's the fun in that?! I didn't teach you for five hours straight just for you to end it in 10 minutes!" Brian followed me out the library while holding my bag that I must've left, I nod my head gratefully before taking my bag from him.
"I didn't intend to stay right there any longer anyways." I was about to leave him alone when a hard wall suddenly appeared in front of me making me bump on it. I let out a groan and rub my nose before glaring at the hard wall. There I saw a man with a nice built, silver hair, blue eyes, and a really pretty face, ah it's Okami-san.
