Right after you hung up you noticed Lucifer staying silent and avoiding all eye contact from you

"Hey Lucifer? You alright?" You asked

"I'm fine" He answered still avoiding eye contact

"You sure? You don't seem fine.." You said softly

"I'm positive..." Lucifer answered

"Then why are you avoiding eye contact wit-"

"Oh well, look at the time, we're here" Lucifer said cutting you off purposely as he stopped the car

"Lucifer! Don't ignore me!" You exclaimed as you both got out of the car

"We don't have time for this, go check inside the orphanage while I check the alley's" Lucifer said walking away from you

"Why do I have to check inside?" You asked making Lucifer stop

"Because... I don't want you to get hurt the way you did before.." He answered before walking off leaving you standing there on the orphanage stairs

Does he care about how I died?..

You slowly made your way into the orphanage as you saw broken glass, wood, furniture and trash all over the floor

"This place looks like someone robbed it.." You spoke aloud to yourself as you checked every room to make sure the little girl isn't in there

After you finally checked the whole first floor you made your way upstairs when one of the stair cases broked causing you to fall down into the whole the staircase was over

"Lucifer!"

"(Y/n)!" Lucifer exclaimed as he got you just in time

"Got'cha" he replied squeezing onto you tightly from behind while you just stayed there frightened, shocked and surprised

"Lucifer..."

"Shhh you're okay, I'm here" he cooed softly as you turned to face him and gave him a tight hug gripping his hair

"Don't l-let go..." You stuttered still frightened that you could've died in your after life too not knowing if you could even die since you were basically already dead

"I wasn't planning too.." Lucifer whispered back gripping you even tighter when a random realization hit you in the head

*flashback*

"Shh let's just stay like this for a bit" Lucifer whispered loud enough to hear him over the slow romantic yet sad music

"I wasn't planning on going anywhere anytime soon.." You admitted when you gently gripped his soft raven color hair

"Good" He responded before going silent again

*end of flashback*

You immediately let go of Lucifer due to what you just saw

"(Y/n)..? Are you okay?" Lucifer asked a bit worried and concerned due to your actions

"I'm...fine...?" You said questionably

"Okay...you stay here, i'll check upstairs" Lucifer said before pulling you in for another hug

"W-wait Lucifer, I wanna go with you" you said softly breaking the hug

"I don't want you getting hurt, just wait for me here" Lucifer whispered before leaving you alone..in this abandoned orphanage

What the hell did I just remember? I remembered something that I don't remember.. Does that even make sense?.. Was it memories of my past life?... Lucifer was in the memory..should I tell him...?

"(Y/n)??" Lucifer said softly waving his hands in your face as you snapped back into reality

"Are you sure you're okay? You're acting strange.." Lucifer said a bit concerned

"I'm perfectly fine, I was just thinking, So...she isn't here?" You asked

"....no..." Lucifer said as you two headed out of the orphanage

"What the hell (y/n)?!" Lucifer exclaimed

"What?" You asked as Lucifer sat you on the stairs outside of the orphanage and examined your scratched up legs

"Oh..must of been when that stair case broke.." You said softly

"Let's go" Lucifer spoke up as he held out his hand to help you as you accepted it

"Where?" You asked as you two got into the car

"We need to go to the store for bandaids...unfortunately we both keep getting hurt" Lucifer said

"Both keep getting hurt? We both only got hurt once.." You said softly

"Not really..." Lucifer said softly that you couldn't make out what he said

"Hmm?"

"I said we'll need it just in case anyone get hurt again soon" Lucifer spoke up avoiding eye contact with you again as you saw that he looked a bit hurt

"Hey, is there something bothering you?" You asked

"I don't know what you mean" he answered as you two left the orphanage

"You seem upset about something.." You said

"I'm not upset.." Lucifer drifted off

"Yes you are! I can tell!" You exclaimed leaning on his arm

"I don't know what you mean" Lucifer said finally laughing

"You know exactly what I mean!" You argued back

"We'll see about that" lucifer said jokingly when your C.C.P rung again immediately making Lucifer go silent again

"It's Luke" you said aloud reading the call log

"Okay.." Lucifer said softly again showing a bit of sadness on his face once more

"C'mon what is up with you?!" You exclaimed leaning on him once more

"Nothing is" he answered

"Are you upset because we didn't find that little girl?" You asked

"Why? We'll find her eventually" Lucifer spoke up
