The Lost Generation of "The Samuels"

Chap. 14: School?!

" Tatz, come on... Your supposed to handle the banners" I called to the teenage girl lazing around

" No... The banner is huge how am I supposed to lift it" she grumbled not wanting to do it at all

I shrug in dismay and called out help from the boys in our class

" Be practical, Tatzia Martin and call out help from those who has strength" Mina scolded Tatz

I rolled my eyes as I stood there watching my so called "friends" bicker tossing their own supposedly job at each other

" Let's go grab some refreshments at the new cafe" Jez suggested, the most responsible amongst us

Everybody agreed... Well specifically, our class was requested to help out in welcoming the new students tomorrow
And the new cafe Jez mention is the Lost Cafe a renowned shop around here

And so, we are here to prepare and also plan out the school activity that will be held 2 weeks from now... Intramurals to be exact

" let’s order it, instead" I stated

They agreed instantly... Of course, they do... Its scorching outside its still summer after all
And if I were to go at the shop, Shin and Ichi will be glued to me...

" Sani, how about you go order the foods cause Hals and your sister is there too" Calli held out the money that she gathered

" and also, the employees around there seem to be close to you" Mina added

I knowingly grin... because I own the place that’s why they are familiar to me... I stood up from my seat and grab the money

" you guys, better finish your jobs immediately and I'll be adding something on our menu" I tried enticing them in which seems to work out because they got busy

I chuckle in victory and held out my car keys... And head out to the cafe
Well, my friends don’t have a clue on who I truly am... I can still remember their reactions 3 weeks ago when I went to the shop

**********3 weeks earlier**************
" Righ, lets head to the shop" Hals woke me up

I opened my eyes and saw Hals all dressed up

" And why are you sleeping at the floor" she said confused

I sat up and stretch... I look around to look for two furry fur balls and then saw them snoozing at my bed

" Well, the floor was inviting me and it’s cool" I shared... She raised a brow at me

Hals stretched out her right hand to help me stand up... I went straight to my bathroom and took a bath... I took a nap for about 4 hours and its 3 in the afternoon...

I wore a high waisted white tight jean and a navy blue off shoulder top... Hals helped me put on my white converse shoes cause my body is aching the after effect of sleeping on the floor

" Lloyd" I called out when we are about to reach the garage

" si, princess" He answered popping his head at the side

I saw them playing poker... hmm, they are almost done, I guess

" Will be going to the shop" I informed

" roger" They stood up still holding their cards and then put them in their pockets

So serious, they must be planning to continue their game at the shop... I drove my car with Lloyd, Hals and our three dogs as my passengers😁
While the other 4 droves on the other car

When we arrived at the shop... I got out of my car and headed inside... some of the employees may not recognize me as the owner because I've just arrived two days ago and there are new recruits, part-timers
My sister, the temporary manager while she is on vacation, was about to introduce me but I refused cause some of the part timers are from our school

Lloyd and the others excused themselves as they went to their positions

" Your here" my sister greeted

" yeah" I answered and we hugged

" How are the guys holding up?" I chuckled as I look around with the shop packed

" Barely holding up" she laughed and pointed towards an area

I turn around to look at where she is pointing, I laughed upon seeing my two brothers being surrounded by women as they take their orders

" Should we hire more?" I asked

" Nah, it’s gonna be fine" she stated

" Righ, I’mma gonna head to the kitchen and help out" she said

" Hals, food please I'll be at the garden" I said

She replied an okay and went ahead, I excused myself to my sister and led the three dogs at the garden...good thing a VIP marked table was available

" phew, its sure is warm" I sat down and turn the mark over

A waiter approached me... hmm, younger than me maybe 15...his tall though

" ma'am, may I get your order?" he asked politely

I almost chuckled at his reaction towards the dogs sleeping on the chair and he seems to recognize me
I was about to reply when Halsey arrived... holding up a tray of food

" I will take care of her" Hals claimed

The boy looks at Hals and was shocked... Must be wondering why is a chef handing out an order personally
He excused himself and went to the other customers

" Thank you" I squealed after looking at my food

She went back inside... I look around observing the shop

" Sani?!" somebody called out in a shock

I turn my head at the right side and saw four familiar faces

" Hey" I grin and rested my head on my palm

" What’s with the 'hey' you've been gone for months and no contact" Calli flared

I chuckled and told them to seat down first

" I've told you that I'll be visiting my grandma from out of town" I reasoned out

" what about the no contact issue?" Mina asked

" well, our location has bad reception" I tried to sound quiet convincing

Knowing them... They will easily buy my reasons

" So, Halsey and your sister and sometimes your brothers work in here" Tatz asked

" uh, yeah" I answered

" What’s with the high-class looking dogs?" Jez also asked

" Grandma gave them to me" I answered.... Sorry, it’s not yet the right time for you to know

" I saw you driving a car earlier, is it yours?" Mina asked

*sigh* Q&A huh

" well, yeah" I replied

There must be thinking that my parents own it... But, either way it is

" so, are we okay here?" I asked... They nod and went back to their table, they invited me to join them but I declined

" Princess, your friends?" Lloyd popped out of nowhere

I was startled but then nod in reply

************At the moment***********

" Hals, lunch set please 30 pcs. and large size lemon tea drinks and a snack set take out" I said to her in the kitchen

" You guys almost done" she asked

" I think so, I bribed the guys to finish their jobs immediately because they've been playing earlier" I confessed she chuckled and they started preparing my orders

I went to the cashier area

" hey sis, where's the dogs?" I asked

" upstairs sleeping, what brings you here?" she asked not looking at me
She's busy tapping on the computer

" for takeout’s, here our payment" I handed the money

She stopped and loom at me... I grin

" *sigh* sooner or later your shop will be bankrupt" she said implying my behavior of free treats

" it won't, as long as I have you guys" I giggled and sat down at the stool chairs

After a half an hour... I've got the foods and put it inside my car

" Thanks" I drove off heading back to school

Upon arriving, I saw my bribed subjects seating at the stairways looking famished

" you guys done" I asked, some answered yes, some nod and some yelled food

I laughed and open the passenger seat where the food lays

" yummy" Tatz exclaimed as she shoved a spoon full curry rice in her almost full mouth...
Such a glutton

" awesome, a takeout sweets" Trina squealed in delight

" Thanks to our reliable president" they shouted

" that ain't flattering me at all" I smirked, these guys are such a leech for food😂 even though I too can rely on them

" Since all the work is done, see you guys back here in school tomorrow" I announced they replied an okay

Argh... A welcome speech for tomorrow
School huh? my final year in High School
