the next morning we woke up early to start packing. we had everything packed and moved into our new house by 8 pm (20:00) Hyunjin felt really bad cause he had to leave halfway through the unpacking cause they needed him to record a dance practice to their new song

it was late at night and the kids were asleep including Mia cause tomorrow's Monday, the first day of her last week of school so she was getting as much sleep as she can before she has to binge for finals

I was still unpacking in the kitchen, all on my own, with my thoughts. my mind wondered to the calendar on the fridge that I put up, I didn't realize how much time has gone by. today marks Sun being 3 weeks old. and yesterday was 3 weeks since Hyunjin proposed

I was taking wine glasses out of a box and took the bubbles wrap off, we don't drink since we're underage still, he just bought them for when of age guests come over, and for decoration till we're old enough

I was trying to put them on a top shelf in our stunning china cabinet. but sadly even on my tiptoes, I wasn't tall enough. I was about to give up and get a step stool when I felt a body being pressed on mine from behind, placing the glass on the shelf before I turned around

"What are you doing up so late?" Hyunjin asked in a soft tone as I looked into his beautiful brown eyes as he stared into my eyes as well. "I was unpacking" I responded simply "But why at 2:09 in the morning?" he asked and I looked at the clock "I didn't even notice"

he let out a soft giggle before taking my hand and leading me up to our bedroom. when we got to our room he sat on the bed as I changed my shirt, considering I had dried milk and spit up on my shirt from Sun

Hyunjin wrapped his arms around my exposed waist as he stared into my eyes through the mirror in front of us. I smiled as my shirt fell to the floor as we swayed with my hands on his.

after enjoying each other's presence for a minute or 2 he placed his head in my neck and started leaving soft kisses.

but I didn't expect it to escalate as quickly as it did

-

the next morning I woke up to the sun shining through the curtains, I realized I was still wrapped in Hyunjins arms as he sleeps peacefully, the skin on skin contact left butterflies on my skin. I laid in his arms for a while before deciding to get up and gather my clothes on the floor and change into something different before heading downstairs

I was met with missing boxes, instead, they were broken down and sat by the door to be taken to the trash. I look into the kitchen to see Mia holding a swaddled Sun and Gun eating breakfast at the table.

I walked over to Mia, "You didn't have to do all this!" I exclaimed and she smiled "Yeah, but I wanted too," she said, and before I could respond Gun got up from the table, ran to me, and embraced me "Good morning mom!" he said with a smile and I could help but to hug him back with a smile.

"Go and finish your breakfast, the bus should be here soon," I told my son with a soft smile and he smiled before doing what he was told. and as if on cue I heard the bus pull up. I took Sun out of Mia's arms and walked them to the door, waving them off.

once they were out of sight I started bouncing Sun softly as I shut the door and she started giggling causing me to smile. soon I heard a creak and looked up to see Hyunjin coming down the stairs without a shirt on

I smiled at him with a "Good morning!" before walking over to the kitchen only to find Mia made us breakfast as well

"Great job unpacking" he complimented "I didn't unpack, Mia did" I explained "Oh, how did we get so lucky to have an amazing child like her?" he asked and I shrugged slightly. we were eating breakfast with Sun in her crib upstairs, down for a nap.

when we finished eating the phone started ringing, I finished chewing the last of my food before answering, I realized it was the schools number so I didn't know what to expect. "Hello, is this the Hwang residence?" I heard a shaky voice on the other line. "Yes," I responded.

I legally changed my last name, and we had done all the paperwork so technically I and Hyunjin are married, we just didn't have the money to have a big wedding yet.

"I suggest you take a seat for this," the women said and I was confused but did it none the less. "This morning Mia was getting off the bus and was walking across the street to help her brother to his class. when another car came down the same road..."

it didn't take long for a few tears to fall and for my breathing to get harsh, I felt Hyunjin place his hand on mine as his eyes had concern and worry in them

"Once we saw what happened we called an ambulance... and I hate to be the one to tell you this... But your daughter died before they could get her to the ambulance"

after those words, my body went numb and my phone fell from my hand, landing on the floor and shattering. I sob into my hands as Hyunjin crouched down in front of me. "Hey, what happened hun?" he asked softly

"S-She's d-dead" I stuttered out "who?" he asked "Mia," I almost screamed from the pain that consumed my heart, it was unbearable "s-she's dead?" he repeated and I heard the pain in his voice taking over
