"Please visit again!" Sakura greeted in the sweetest tone possible.

"I hope he never returns", she hissed to herself.

"I would kick him out if I could. But for now, I flirt my way out of such situations." Miku chuckled.

Sakura hated the fact that they had to wear this uniform for waitressing. The dress was short and showed off her slender legs and the top wasn't comfortable either. She disliked the bow she had to clip on her head as well. The only part of this outfit she liked was the frilly white apron. Many times she would have to face some sleazy customers who would pass inappropriate comments at her. She wasn't trained as a kid to face such pricks and now she tried to be as diplomatic as possible.

Miku with her fluffy twin buns glided around the room cheerfully serving customers. Her pink curls reminded her of the Flower Card. She was the reason Sakura chose to work at this cafe. She had met Miku the day of her interview and she felt very welcome when she talked to her. Even though Miku's personality came off as naive and cheerful, she was very mature and knew which cards to play at the cafe to deal with the customers.

A familiar face approached her and sat down on the table closest to the counter. Sakura went up to this new customer and smiled.

"And my day just became worse" she smiled.

Shiro laughed and rested his back on the chair. His white hair fell gently on his forehead while they covered a part of his round glasses.

"I like seeing you get annoyed at work", he reached out for her hand.

Sakura pulled another chair and sat down beside him. She felt tiny in front of his tall figure even when she was seated.

"I met your brother on my way to the Library today."

"Oh. Is that why you're being so nice?"

"He asked me a lot of questions, also assumed that we had a breakup."

Sakura rolled her eyes.

Sakura had been dating Shiro for a few months now. He worked at the City Library close to her house. She had met him a few years back at a convention her father was invited to. He would seldom meet her on his way to the library when she still lived with her father and brother.

"One Devil's Chocolate as usual", Miku smiled at Shiro as she placed the cold chocolate drink in front of them.

Shiro searched his pocket for something and drew out a blue keychain. It had a cage with a bird inside it. Sakura looked at it confused.

"I got this when I went out for the trip, but I forgot to give it. For some reason it reminded me of you."

Sakura got reminded of the many empty cages she had decorated at her apartment. It was so familiar yet it was not.

Miku creeped up to Sakura and whispered into her ear.

"I think there's a creepy person staring at you." She pointed at the glass door of the cafe.

Sakura looked at the door to see a lady with both her hands on the door staring at her with her crimson eyes.

"Meilin?"
