"Heydi! Howdy! Houdy!" Kero roared.

"Keroberos you're stamping my wings" Yue interrupted with a hint of annoyance.

"Sakura! How long has it been!" Kero cried.

"I guess three years?" Sakura answered timidly.

"I have been sleeping for three years?! THREE YEARS without cake?!" Kero frowned.

Seeing both her guardians in her room took her back to her 'Cardcaptor Days'

Seeing both her guardians in her room took her back to her 'Cardcaptor Days'. Sakura let out a shy smile.

"I couldn't help it. If my roomate would find out about you, I'd have a hard time trying to explain why my stuffed animal talks." She reasoned.

"But I couldn't eat anything for three years! And my games! I have to complete them!" He growled.

"You voluntarily went for hibernation." Yue spoke calmly with his eyes closed.

"That's because I was so bored! And I had to look after the cards." All of them looked at the Clow book on Sakura's lap.

"I couldn't control my powers then... So I assumed it would be better if I stayed away from them." Sakura looked down at her hands.

"That was long back! Nothing weird has happened after that right?" Kero asked munching on some cheese sticks lying around.

"No... Only... Syaoran has come back..."

"You mean that brat shifted here finally? What took him so long?! He should have done it long back when you were facing problems!" Kero roared as his wings ruffled.

"He's not shifting Kero, he came just to take the cards back to Hong Kong. Besides, we parted ways so I don't expect him to come here for me."

An awkward silence filled the room, and Kero panicked noticing he had accidentally stumbled upon a sensitive subject

An awkward silence filled the room, and Kero panicked noticing he had accidentally stumbled upon a sensitive subject. He looked at Yue signalling him to help manage the situation.

"What did he tell you about the cards, Sakura" Yue asked extending an arm onto Sakura's shoulder.

"That they're his responsibility now. That I need not worry." Sakura sighed.

"That brat! Always causing all this drama and butting in! When the Final Judgement happened, the verdict was already given. They already chose who was worthy, right Yue?" Kero glanced at him.

"There seems something off with that kid. I couldn't sense his presence." Yue spoke with a stoic voice.

"I felt the same thing when I met him at the bar. He seems like such a different person... Is it because of the breakup...?" Sakura looked worried.

"No. I can't put my finger on it... But something has shifted."

"Sakura. You better take me with you to wherever you're living. This is to keep you and the cards safe. You need to use them if you're in some kind of danger." Kero sounded serious this time.

"But what if they get stolen like last time?"

"Well this time they'll have to deal with us too." Kero assured.

~Author's Note~

'The Chosen One' and 'The Sun and the Moon' are the chapters I liked writing the most. Up until here, the CCS vibe was hardly there, but things are going to change from this point on. Plus, I missed Kero SO MUCH!
Next chapter will be posted on Wednesday.
