Chapter 4

"Are you Kang Gook? The personal secretary of the crown prince?" an officer asked

"Yes, how may I help you sir?" Kang Gook asked

"You should take documents, the doctor must receive them as soon as possible, is it clear?"

"Yes sir" Kang Gook replied and took the documents. He went to the office of the archiater and hesitated for a moment as he got in front of his door

"Should I read what is written inside?.... No... this is... this isn't my job... that officer said that I..." Kang Gook said in his mind, however, someone was able to interrupt him even if he wasn't say anything

"What's this?" Ji Tae asked as he took the documents from his hands

"an officer said that these are some documents for the doctor, I suppose that they're about what happened in the throne room a few hours ago, but I'm not sure since I'm not supposed to read that" Kang Gook stated calmly, Ji Tae nodded and took the cover of the documents away

"What are you doing!?" Kang Gook said trying to take those documents before the other guy could read it and failed

"he's your master, you should be worried, he fainted in front of the whole court, isn't it a little awkward? Just think about it, if he keeps acting like this he will only be remembered as the king who kept fainting..." Ji Tae started, he was smirking too, however, his arrogant tone disappeared as he continued reading, Kang Gook's eyes widened fearing what the young guy could have found in those sheets

"My God... it will be enough if he... even becomes king..." 

"What do you mean? And stop reading! It is for the doctor only!" Kang Gook shouted as he finally managed to take the documents, however, his eyes couldn't help but look at the papers

After a really meticulous examinations we found out that the cause of His Highness faint is his fragile constitution, we discussed a lot about the treatment and we just thought that it was a good idea to suggest a stay outside the city, preferably in the south. We are waiting for your orders, royal doctor. 

 Kang Gook looked at Ji Tae, he didn't look that shocked actually, but his arrogant tone was missing, and it didn't look like something good. 

"Secretary Kang Gook, his highness is looking for you" a servant asked as he reached them, Kang Gook looked at Ji Tae for a moment, the guy smiled and said:

"Don't let him wait, I will give those papers as the doctor arrives, don't worry" 

"Thank you" Kang Gook said and left

Kang Gook followed the servant, they got to the prince's quarters but the secretary stopped all of a sudden as he saw a box full of towels drenched in blood, the servant noticed the worried expression on Kang Gook's face and chuckled

"You shouldn't worry, two officers were training and one of the accidentally got injured, but it isn't anything serious actually. Come on, his highness is waiting." 

Kang Gook nodded and entered the room

"My beloved secretary is finally here... I thought you wanted to be beside me... always..." 

"I'm really sorry your highness, you were unconscious and the doctors didn't let me stay here" Kang Gook said bowing

"You don't have to worry Kang Gook... I was just wondering where my loyal servant was... would you please close the door? That cold wind from the door is killing my throat..." Tae Joo said with soft voice. Kang Gook closed the door and as the prince asked for it, he sat beside him

"Kang Gook... I will ask you this just once, do you have any question about the palace and the people who live inside of it?" Tae Joo asked

"I..." Kang Gook was about to say that he didn't have any questions to pose but the prince interrupted him immediately with a finger on his mouth and looking at him, almost like diving into his cold eyes

"Don't tell me that you don't have even a single one! ... fine... let's play a game... I?m not the prince... I'm just an humble secretary... and you're the prince..." Tae Joo said as he covered Kang Gook's shoulders with one of his robes

"so, your highness... I'm supposed to answer... always..." Tae Joo said smiling cutely

"well... who's Ji Tae?" 

Tae Joo looked at him surprised, he shook his head too since he didn't expect a question like that, he then sighed and answered:

"He's a nobleman of the royal court..." 

"There's something else..." Kang Gook whispered

"Hey! well... I think that it's my fault since I told you to ask me whatever you want... ok... he's a... umm... let's call him special friend..." 

"Special friend?" Kang Gook asked perplexed

"I suppose that I should tell you since that you will probably find out on your own..." Tae Joo said sighing, Kang Gook looked at him waiting for a explanation, the prince started:

"I'm sure that you already know that the kings usually have... concubines... right?" 

"Yes your highness" Kang Gook nodded

"Well... I have some too... but instead of girls... oh come on... alright... alright... I don't like girls ... so I have... guys... we talk a lot... and play music... read... and sometimes we do some other things too..." Tae Joo said smirking

"Alright! I don't think that I want to know the details!" 

Tae Joo looked at him and chuckled

"Are you sure Kang Gook? Because my eunuchs found some interesting things in your room."
