"Goodmorning your highness, may I ask you how do you feel today?" Kang Gook asked as Tae Joo was having breakfast

"No" the prince replied calmly

"Your highness? I thought you wanted to open up a little bit after... well.. after yesterday night"

"Well, I'm sorry to tell you that you're wrong Kang Gook, I don't need to cry in front of someone just to feel a little better. If you want to be a friend then start looking for someone else." Tae Joo added

"Would you please leave us alone?" Kang Gook said and the servants left the room and closed the doors

"It looks like you started commanding my servants too, are you going to take my crown too? In a few years at least?" Tae Joo said with a smirk on his face that was just trying to hide his disappointment.

"You probably don't remember that since your staff is reduced because of your voyage I'm the chief of your servants as well... as commanded by your highness." Kang Gook replied bowing

"how dare you?! You aren't supposed to fight back! You're a servant!"

"I'm a secretary who attended the royal academy, I'm supposed to think, and I'm sure you already know why"

"Oh shut up Kang Gook! Are you going to tell me that stupid story about the officers that have to think with their onw minds in order to save the king from his enemies? And from himself too?! I'm just asking... for some time Kang Gook. A few hours before our departure a true friend died... and the following day... my lover followed him too. Don't you think that I deserve to be left alone?!"

"No your highness, this is the moment when my duty becomes unbearable, I have to stay with you even if you don't want to. I have to stay beside you because you need me. I don't care if you want to cry or to kill me, I will be here no matter what you think."

Tae Joo looked away and sobbed for a moment, another defeat... with his own secretary. The secretary remained there for the whole time. Tae Joo couldn't help but hate him, how was it possible? 

"Do you know why I... act like this?" Tae Joo asked

"Because you're hurt... and because you feel guilty, you said it yourself. it was yesterday and I can assure you that I could remember it even if it was years ago" Kang Gook replied

"Oh shut up mr philosopher... there's another reason... I still don't understand... wh... why does it look like I ran out of happy moments... and I'm left with tragedies of all kinds?!" Tae Joo added

"Your highness... you're just sad and everythings looks like this... but soon or late..."

"What? The sun will rise again? No... my sun is lost forever... all the happy moments of my life are gone with him, why do I have to be sad... why do I have to suffer with you by my side?!"

"I... I don't understand what you mean your highness, do you mean that it is my fault?" Kang Gook asked confused

"I mean that Ji Tae... wasn't beside me... I always felt alone... he tried his best, he loved me and I was sure that I loved him back... but... you're closer to me... than anyone else..." Tae Joo said coming closer to Kang Gook, the secretary walked away from him and opened the door

"You have a guest your highness, I suppose that you want to be left alone." Kang Gook said as he went away

"Are you rejecting me Kang Gook? Say it clearly! Coward!" Tae Joo shouted. His friend entered the room and hugged the prince

"I'm sorry Yu Jin but I don't want to talk now..."

"Tae Joo... this is really important..." 

"What do you want!?"

"tae joo... the king is sick and you know it... I think that you should come back" Yu Jin said worried

"You know that I can't. I love my father but I have to stay here. This was his order. I will stay here until the revolution is over. I will come back when things will calm down, can't you trust me?"

"Why don't you want to understand?! The Cho and Kim clans are going to take the throne if you don't come back immediately!"

"I already told you that I can't come back..."

"It's just a riot, you can send a general or someone else to solve this problem." Yu Jin added

"Don't you understand? It is an exile! I can't come back because the king ordered... that... that I can't be the next king of Joseon! The death of general Yi Rim convinced him that I couldn't continue like that... my... harem... it became the headquarter of the enemies of the dynasty!"
