Chapter 5

Kang Gook looked at the prince shocked

"What? Don't you believe me Kang Gook? Please... come here" Tae Joo said, a servant rapidly came closer with some little books, the prince took one of them and opened it

"Oh my love... you made me the happiest man on earth... but it only makes it harder to say what I have to tell you... our story eventually reached its end... how can we continue this? I'm a general... and you're my loyal orderly... this were the last words the general's lips pronounced before his orderly kissed him... I don't think that I should continue reading since there's an incredibly realistic picture that show how this... ummm... conversation continued... so, what are you going to say Kang Gook?" Tae Joo said smirking

"I... I don't know what you're talking about your highness, those books don't belong to me..." Kang Gook replied as he looked at the floor

"Dear secretary, do you really believe that after years of plots against my dynasty I really cannot recognize when someone is lying? I know that these books are yours..." Tae Joo interrupted him

"Alright... I admit that those books are mine... but I would like to add that..." 

"What? That you only read them for the romantic plot? Oh yes, I'm absolutely sure about it, I immediately noticed how much you love literature... almost as much as I like cheking the rookies of the royal guard, I just want to make sure that we recruit only loyal soldiers... I surely don't go to the courtyard just to see their faces or to look at them during their training, we aren't perverts. I suppose that you wanted to say this, am I right Kang Gook?" Tae Joo interrupted him again. 

"Yes your highness..." Kang Gook nodded and blushed

"You don't need to be embarassed secretary... I already told you that we share the same interests... now that we talked about it... I suppose that we should move to the next topic right? Good... as you probably already heard from someone else in the palace... I should admit that the royal government should do something to stop this rumors... it's quite annoying... well, I have to go to Jeju because of the rebellion, you already understood what I'm asking for... am I right Kang Gook?" Tae Joo said

"yes your highness, and as your loyal personal secretary, I'm going to follow your wherever you go. I need just one hour to get ready." Kang Gook replied. Everyone in the room started  laughing as they saw that the prince was laughing too

"What a good servant... well secretary, we will leave tomorrow, you don't have to hurry like that but I appreciate your spirit, you can leave now, prepare your stuff... then you can go out too, your work is over for today." 

"Thank you your highness." Kang Gook said and left. 

A few hours later, when it was dark outside, Ji Tae entered the only room with a light in the prince's quarters, he slowly opened the window and looked at the prince on his bed, he was reading a book... it wasn't a normal book, as he looked more carefully he noticed that those were music sheets and Tae Joo was tapping with his right hand on a little table near the bed

"Aren't you going to sleep Tae Joo? I know that you're going to leave tomorrow, shouldn't you rest before your departure?" Ji Tae asked

"I could ask you the same thing Ji Tae" Tae Joo asked smirking

"What? Wait... do you really... do you mean that I can come with you!?" Ji Tae asked excited

"Of course, I can't leave you here, I don't want to come back and see that all the other guys are already in love with you" 

"Oh come on Tae Joo! Do you think that I'm a player?" 

"Well... you're a nice player... you simply cannot stop playing" Tae Joo replied

"Tae Joo! You know that those... games.... are just for you and nobody else..." 

"Ok ok perfect lover... do you want to tell me something else or are you going to leave me alone so that I can rest?" 

"You weren't resting as I arrived" Ji Tae said smirking, he slowly came closer to Tae Joo but as he tried to kiss him Tae Joo stopped him with a finger on his mouth

"You should be in your room getting ready for tomorrow, come on... I already fainted today, I can't wake up tomorrow just to faint a few hours later because I'm just too tired" 

Ji Tae sighed and left after saying goodnight. 

"I think that I should ask that servant to give me one of those books of Kang Gook... just to make the journey a little less boring."
