chapter thirteen

I woke up to someone calling my name I open my eyes and i see its ashlyn I didn't feel as warm as I did so I knew john had already woke up and left me. " winston and charon already went to the courthouse we have to get ready " ashlyn said i nod and sat up but hissed in pain and fell back against the bed i groaned very loudly " slowly " ashlyn said i glared at her but look away as i see movement and i see john and bree in the doorway staring in " fine just got to get ready " i said ashlyn look at them and i noticed johns shirt was unbuttoned and i felt myself blush and look at ashlyn as bree came into the room shutting the door. I sat up and did my stretches as the girls look for my leggings and a tank top they wanted everyone to see the marks or what was left. " ill take a shower later whenever we come back " I said " okay " ashlyn said and i dressed myself ashlyn curl my hair and I brush my theeth " damn if john doesn't jump your bones I might " ashlyn said i giggled but felt my face get red i roll my eyes and look away and we open the door and see john standing there. Ashlyn and bree walk away " cherish " john said as i turn around to grab my purse and a hoodie. I turn around and look up at john " you okay ? " john ask " i will whenever this is over " i said john reaches out and held my hand i look down at our hands " shhhhh shhhhh thank you for * takes a breath in * coming it it it shhhh it means alot " i stutter as john reach up and touch my chin I flinched away but lean into the touch of john wick I closed my eyes " thank you john wick " i said and I turn walking away and down the stairs to where bree and ashlyn was waiting for us " what happen ? " bree ask protectively. I shake my head and walk out the door " its okay we'll be in right behide you as well as winston, charon and john. " ashlyn said i nod and take her hand as john came out of the house and we got into the car bree giving john directions to the courthouse. " its strange that we haven't met your lawyer but we will in a little bit " bree said " its fine my wife knew him and he's a good lawyer trust him. " john said no one said anything as i look out the window " what if they choose his side ? " i thought " what if they don't pity me because I say something or do something " i thought " breathe cherish " ashlyn said as i felt a hand on my shoulder i flinch and jump but lean back against the seat again and held onto ashlyns hand " thank you for staying and giving me shelter " I said " we love you cherish " bree said

" we got you " bree said as she held my hand as ashlyn had my other hand. john was behind us. I look over my shoulder at him " he's still here dont worry " bree said I blush and look forward as we climb the stairs and into the courtroom. I see cory and his family I see damon and Carter I felt my eyes water as they ran up to us I bend down and hug them " hey boys " I said " take care of your mom and grandma " I said as I see jessica coming over to the take the boys after they walk away " guys i cant move help " i said as i see the girls step away and I felt John's hand on my waist pulling me up. His other hand was on my back straighten my back. " thank you " I mutter that's when I see cory as he walk into the court room I froze till John's body block cory from my veiw and I see my lawyer waving at me i nod as i walk down the aisle i noticed john walking next to me we didn't say anything he shake my lawyer hand and i sat down next to my lawyer.

I jump when the hammer came down. " we have a witness that says your client beat his girlfriend " a lawyer said " is she here my girlfriend ? " cory asks I felt tears stream down my face I felt myself slightly shake. " ex! " bree and ashlyn calls out I smiled at bree ans ashlyn's comment.
" order! " the judge said " we call to the stand of Winston " the lawyer said i didn't look away from my hands. that's when i see winston walk by us. " shouldn't we hear from cherish! " cory calls out " mr. Grady i would advise you get your client under control. " the judge said that's when I see a TV " oh God " I said as I put a hand over my mouth to stop from crying out. I watch the vedio as my lawyer grab my hand in a smoothing way that's when I hear Winston anwering questions but I didnt know what I just couldn't stop watching the vedio and after the screen went black I didnt pull my eyes away. " I would like to speak to cherish " the judge said as winston walk past us giving me a sad smile I sat up and wipe away my tears I stood up and walk over to the stand. that's when the policeman came over and wired me with a microphone. " ms westfall do you see the man that attack you ? " a lawyer ask " yes " I said staring at the lawyer " can you show the court who ? " the lawyer ask I pointed over to cory. " mr tate did " i said my voice was so weak and so full of cracks . that's when I see John stand up and sit back down I focus on him and calm down somewhat. I turn back to the lawyer who was staring at me. I clear my throat " that's all " the layer said now it was Cory's lawyer turn " ms westfall why did you go to New York? " the lawyer ask " I needed a break " I said " but why ? " the lawyer ask " that is none of your business " I thought " I need a break because I felt stuck " I said " In the relationship? " the lawyer ask " yes and no " I said " explain " the lawyer said " objection the witness has already been through enough " the other lawyer said standing up. " sit down " the judge said " I tried to break up pervious but he didnt get it and so we talked two months later and I went to New York " I said " and so you thought it would be a good idea to play with his feelings. " the lawyer said " it wasnt just his feelings we were together for a long time and then he changed and not for the better either " I said " you wanted to change bitch! " cory said I look over at cory the frist time since being on the stand I couldnt look away he looked wild. He almost look like Sirius black from Harry Potter. I turn away from him and to the jury and look up at corys lawyer " when you get to love someone and then they tell you it wasnt real for the frist year of your relationship that he was influencing it to belief him. It hurts but then he says after that it was all him he fell in love with me. you have to move on and I was going to break up with him the next day after coming back home till he just shows up at the airport and then he takes me home because again feelings and then when you tell him no you dont want to talk to him and that you would talk to him later.. tomorrow even and he gets mad.. he has never put his hands on me before until that night. " I said the court room was silent. " can I say something to Cory ? " I ask as I look at the judge the judge look shock but nods I look over at cory. " I hope you get what you fucking deserve " I said as I look at the judge cory begins to laugh " you may step down now " the judge said I walk down the stand the policeman unhook my microphone and i walk back to my seat i felt tears stream down my face " so much for being strong " i thought " we will take a ten minute recuse " the judge said and then he slam the hammer down my lawyer turns to me " hey dont focus on him look at me. You did amazing im proud of you. " my lawyer said thats when I see ashyln, bree, charon,john and winston standing there waiting for me as we got up and i look at them and smiled " ill be okay " i thought we walk down the aisle and I felt a arm wrap around me pulling me to them and I lean on john he smell like soap with a hint of gunpowder and man's cologne." its okay " john said as he held me I pull away and into bree. That's when people started to file back into the courtroom. " no matter what happens we have your back " bree said everyone shook their head yes " thank you guys " i said and i meant it. " your family " charon said I look up at john and smiled. i look at charon and nod before we all enter the courthouse and we sat down and now we wait....

" we fine the defendant guilty. " one woman said " it's over cherish " my lawyer said but I felt cory's eyes on me " no it's not " I mutter / thought as I held Cory's eyes they were filled with amusement and angrier along with something else I couldnt understand as someone in front of me standing there blocking cory if he were to hurt me again. I shook my head and look down at my hands and wait till we were allowed to leave this hell.. I see movement and i see its bree and ashlyn they pull me out of the court room and into the hall. I see john talking to winston as bree and ashlyn try and talk to me but I just lean on the wall lost in thought til I see john walking this way I look up and met John's eyes and I ran at john and jump into his arms and wrap my limbs around him and held onto him as he held me. " thank you, thank you. " I said john just continued to walk I didnt care where we went just as long as I was with john.
I see john walk into a restroom and lock the door behind him I finally relaxed and as john goes to the sink i sat on the counter i felt tears stream down my face and i look at John's button on his shirt. " john mutters I look up at john our eyes meeting and I found my hand reaching up and place a hand on his cheek as john puts a hand on my shoulder then he slid it down to my back I felt my face get red as john leans in and I pull away and turn my head only to sneeze I covered my nose and mouth as I groaned and turn around somehow and grab a papertowel and wipe my nose and mouth john outstretched his hand I look up " ewww that's gross " I said but drop it to his hand and turn back around to wash my hands only to notice that you could see up my skirt I see john in the mirror his whole demeanor changed I swallowed hard I slowly closed my legs, my eyes and turn around shifting alittle so you couldnt see up my skirt. I feel john step closer " open your eyes " john demands I open my eyes looking at his chest and then look up to his eyes. I felt my heart in my chest beat wildly and the blood in my ears. John grabs my waist pulling me to him. John stops as he leans down and pressed his head against mine. His hot breath against my cheeks I slowly close my eyes and John's lips just brush mine before he pull away i felt his hand around my neck pulling me towards him and i felt my one arm slide to his back pushing him close to me and my other hand laying on his chest. " we should go " I mutter as I unwrap myself from john john didnt say anything just step back and comb his hair as i did the same. I unlock the door and walk out of the restroom.

I felt my legs give out and i almost fall to the floor if it wasnt for john as john scoops me into his arms and continue to walk. I felt myself leaning on johns shoulder i sat up " its okay " john said and i felt a ghost of a hand slapping me and i felt another hand grabbing my shirt i jerk awake " i think I can walk " i said as i see our friends ahead now staring at us. I look up at john as john look at me i smiled and nod " thank you Mr wick " i said as john puts me down and we walk over to the others.

" cherish speech ! " bree said as we all was in the dinning room of my house now. I stood up and raised my glass " i couldn't have done it without you guys so thank you " i said as i sat down and everyone bang their glasses together we drink.
After the others had gone home and bree and ashlyn went to bed i got up and went to the kitchen to wash the dishes i hear running water and hear music playing. I see his back and he wore a white tshirt and gray sweats I walk over and grab the drying towel and dried the dishes and glasses. " are we going to talk about that kiss ? " i ask as i put a plate away. John didnt say anything just kept cleaning a glass that was already cleaned. " john talk to me " i said softly as I stared at him. " forget it " john mutters and hands me the glass I push whatever feelings inside me down and swallowed and nod as i met johns eyes I knew he saw the hurt in them so I turn around and put away the last glass and put the towel on the counter and walk away just as i step out of the room " goodnight Mr wick i hope you have safe travels " i said and walk to my room and went to bed again.

Again crying over a man who hurt me, who has played with my emotions.

I see in the darkness a man with a suit his hair slick back and he was cute. He steps into the light and i see its john wick aka boogeyman. " hello John " I said calmly " im sorry " john said and he raised his gun and shots me in the head making it quick and painless.

I gasp and sat up looking around my bedroom but saw no one so I lay down and calm myself down and went to sleep again.
