. Unexpected .

The sun was just about setting, everyone seemed to be bustling in the home of the orphanage. Except for a few, the precious child that had presumed separation anxiety and others closest to the newly-adopted girl. [ Y/n ] was busy dressing Conny for her departure, making sure to wipe the couple tears that caressed her rosy cheeks. Phil was there for their support, gushing about the things the girl will see outside.

' ' So lucky~ ' ' Phil whined, [ Y/n ] and Conny shared a look as they giggled to each other.

' ' Maybe you can send us letters and visit, we'll all be dying to hear what you see out there . . ' ' The older sibling started to pat down the shirt to rid of the crinkles as Phil passed a black jacket over to Conny, helping her fit her tiny arms through the sleeves.

' ' You look like a princess, even when not wearing a pretty dress! ' ' The [ E/c ] eyed 11 year-old laughed quietly as they booped the little girl and her bunny on the nose.

' ' So kind nii-chan~ ' ' Conny giggled in delight as the boy beside the two pouted, causing another fit of giggles to erupt between them.

' ' Conny! Are you ready? ' ' The shout from within the halls caused [ Y/n ] to let out a squeak, seeming to revert back to their shy self as a bright, orange-haired girl was seen in the doorway of the shared bedroom where Phil and [ Y/n ] were preparing Conny for her leave.

' ' H-hold on! I-I have to tie the ribbon here too . . ' ' The girl giggled as she presented the neck tie with pride, letting [ Y/n ] do whatever she pleases with the silky, long fabric.

' ' OH NOW YOU STUTTER HUH?! ' ' Don smacked [ Y/n ] on the head as everyone reacted to his sentence.

' ' Aw . . . The secret's out~ ' ' Phil whined, giggling away at his overly beet-red sibling, they were so flustered to the point it was almost concerning.

' ' H A H!?! ' ' Emma shouted as Conny laughed quietly, knowing no one was severely upset or hurt.

Norman came from the doorway, seeming to have been eavesdropping a bit, looking at [ Y/n ] with an amused expression. Everyone was shouting about the predicament, but Conny was there leading her poor sibling out of the now noisy room.

Everyone was gathered up around the exit, saying their farewells to Conny as she cuddled her little stuffed bunny. Everyone was in tears as she gave her compelling speech, she wants to be just like Mama, except she would never let go of her kids. A touching farewell for us all as we cried over her departure, we never liked say goodbye to each other. It seemed [ Y/n ] still had it worse then the rest of us, completely shutting down after Conny went through the door with Mama. All of us hugged one another for comfort, [ Y/n ] being in the middle as they needed it most.

' ' Do-Don't worry everyone, at least Conny will be with their new fa-fam-family ' ' They cheered, it made us all smile.

[ Y/n ] was right, Conny has the chance to live a whole new life. Who knows how much better it'll be out there? Only Conny will, she promised us all to write letters when she's settled into her home. She'll tell us all about the outside.

' ' Come on everyone . . . let's get ready for tomorrow! M-maybe write a letter to Conny from us all! ' ' Everyone cheered, everyone seeming to change moods quite quickly.
