Captain Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan is still posted in KMA. He is a great teacher for his previous cadets. Even after their passing out of KMA, he looks out for his best cadets from time to time and so do his cadets. One day he had some work in Nainital. So on his way of returning KMA, he thought of visiting Naveen and Naina's parents.
As he was leaving the house after meeting them, Abhimanyu noticed that he had left his sunglasses at their place. So he took his steps back to Ahluwalia house. He was just about to knock again but noticed that the door wasn't closed yet. Just then he heard something, Naina's parents were talking inside the house.
Maa- Tum samaj kiyu nahi rahe ho, Abhimanyu bohat achcha ladka hai. Usse apni jimmedariyon ka ehsaas hai. Ankhoke shamne se aise ladke ko hum kaise jaane de?
Baba- Magar Meera, aise kaise?
Maa- Yakin mano Naina uske saath bohat khush rahegi.
Baba- Par Naina ki sehmati bhi toh jaruri hai. Tum janti ho, Naina iss bare mai jikr tak nahi karna chahti. Aur Abhimanyu? Uska kya? Kya woh raazi hoga Naina se shaadi ke liye?
Maa- Naina ko raazi hona hoga, kab tak woh aise akele zindagi jiti rahegi? Aise apni bachche ki zindagi barbad hote huye nahi dekh sakti mai. Aur jaha tak Abhimanyu ka sawal hai, mera dil kehta hai ki woh zaroor raazi hoga. Woh kitna achcha ladka hai, kitne achche pariwar se hai, humari Naina ki kitni parwa hai usse. Aur sabse bari baat ye hai, ki woh sab kuch janta hai, woh humari Naina ko kabhi bhi galat nahi samjhega.
Baba- Abhimanyu ki achchayi ke baare mai koyi shak nahi hai mujhe, chinta hai toh sirf Naina ko lekar. Ab tak jitne bhi rishto ke baare mai humne usse baat ki usne sabko mana kar diya. Toh woh ab kiyu raazi hogi?
Maa- Tum chinta mat karo, mai baat karungi Naina se. Agar woh khud ke bare mai soch ke ye nahi kar sakti, toh usse humare bare mai soch ke ye karna hoga.
Abhimanyu couldn't move any further. He was astonished by the conversation. It is true that Naina was never a sister or just a cadet to him. She always had this special place in his life. In fact she still does. But he didn't think of being romantically involved with her.
Strange thing is, he did not hate the idea. He quite liked it and returned to KMA. All the way to KMA, he kept thinking about it. The whole day, he was visibly absent minded as he kept thinking about his and Naina's memories.
