It was evening at KMA. Abhimanyu was sitting alone near the lake under the moonlight, being little absent minded. Then Gunny appeared there. He saw the look on Abhi's face and walked towards him.
Gunny- Kya hua Captain, aap udaas lag rahe hai?
Abhi got startled hearing Gunny's voice.
Abhi- Areh Gunny, aap kab aaye?
Gunny- Bas abhi aya. Dekha ki aap udas baithe hai.
Gunny then sat on a nearby rock. Abhi felt little embarrassed for not being able to hide his emotions. He still tried to avoid the topic.
Abhi- Nahi toh aisi koyi baat nahi hai.
Gunny took a deep breath and looked at Abhi.
Gunny- Aap agar bura na maane toh aapse ek baat puchu?
Abhimanyu tried to smile a bit, then replied to Gunny.
Abhi- Areh puchiye na, aap toh humare dost hai, aap ka haq banta hai.
Gunny- Kya aap Naina se pyaar karte hai?
Abhi didn't understand how to answer this question. He tried to deny it completely.
Abhi- Ye, ye aap kya keh rahe hai Gunny, hume kuch samajh nahi aa raha.
Gunny understood his situation and while playing with a piece of grass he replied,
Gunny- Beshak aap mujhe na bataye par kuch baate samajhne ki kabiliyat mujhme bhi hai.
Abhi realised that there was no point in hiding because Gunny seemed to understand everything already.
Abhi- Darasal pichle kuch dino se jo bhi hua, itna fast hua ki baith ke soch ne ka mauka hi nahi mila. Aur rahi baat pyaar ki, toh uska pata nahi, but Naina humare liye special jaroor hai.
Gunny- Hmmmm. Mai samajh sakta hoon. Naina wahqahi mai special hai.
Suddenly doctor Shalini walked in there. She went towards them.
Shalini- Dono Captain yaha? Maine kuch suna. Waise kis special ki baat ho rahi thi? Hmmm?
Gunny- Areh doctor aap? Nahi kuch khaas nahi.
Shalini- Iska matlab men's talk. Thik hai mai chalti hoo.
Then Shalini pretended to leave. Seeing Shalini leave like this Abhi stopped her.
Abhi- Areh nahi nahi doctor Shalini, aap baithiye na, hum toh bas Raj aur Naina ke special rishte ke baare mai baat kar rahe the.
Gunny crunched his nose a little bit and smiled looking at Abhi, asked Shalini to stay.
Shalini- Ha, sach mai. Mai bhi jab sochti hu na, ki kitni utar chadav ke baad aaj dono eksath hai toh bohat achcha lagta hai.
Shalini went all dreamy, as if every flashback of Rajveer and Naina was floating in front of her eyes.
Gunny became curious and Abhi lowered his eyes hearing Shalini's words.
Abhi- Thik kaha aapne.
Gunny- Par dono ke bich pyaar hua kaise?
Abhi- Hum nahi jante. Naina ne hum e yaha Naveen ke case se juri baatein janne ke liye bulaya tha. Dheere dheere hum e ye ehsaas hua ki Naina aur Rajveer ka bond bohat strong hai.
Shalini cut him in the middle of this conversation.
Shalini- Ha, but not in a romantic way!
Abhi got shocked by this statement.
