The next morning the twins were arguing about who got pushed off the bed. They say at a table and called Haruhi over while I was sitting other people. The only thing I had heard was Hikaru and Karou ordering a huge meal that wasn't even on the menu, and Haruhi sweat drops.

"We must be polite to the commoners! You need to order things on the menu!" Tamaki comes out of nowhere and whispers too loudly to the twins.

Haruhi deadpans while I giggle at the gesture and then I look up after feeling someone grasp my hand.

"Bear..." I mumble as Mori looks up from holding my right hand, the one that's injured. He lightly traces my scratch with his thumb.

"You got hurt... How?" He asks with a little worry in his voice.

A bear licks the deaf bunny's wound, trying to heal it while the bunny can only thank the bear by making a happy noise.

"Oh! A worker boy!" We all turn to Misuzzu near a boy with a hat covering his face and a crate in his hand.

"Haruhi come get this will you?" Misuzzu beckons Haruhi.

"Haruhi? Haruhi Fujioka?" The man tips his hat up to get a look at Haruhi.

"Hey... Ardai..." Haruhi greets back.

'Ardai?' I think to myself, I don't remember Haruhi talking about an Ardai.

...

They were talking at a table to themselves now.

"Y/N, do you know Ardai?" Tamaki asks me, I shake my head no.

I was homeschooled I sign, hoping Tamaki would understand. He looks at me confused and I sigh, he doesn't know sign language.

"Y/N was homeschooled." A monotone voice piped in.

"Takashi! I didn't know you learned sign language!" Honey tugs at Mori's sleeve and Mori nods his head.

I smile at him, and thank him in my mind for translating for me. He side eyes me and as if he's reading my mind, he smiles ever so slightly and nods.

"Fujioka, I didn't know you had a sister." Ardai smiles towards Haruhi.

'She didn't talk about me?' I wondered disappointingly. Although now that I think about it, the Host Club didn't even know I existed until they came over.

'Does Haruhi even like me?' I know that's a stupid question to ask myself, but I couldn't help but doing so. I may be her sister, but that doesn't mean that she has to like me, she probably sees me as a burden.

"Oh, well it never really came up in conversation I guess, I never saw the need to tell you about my family." Haruhi responds simply.

My heart warmed, making my negative thoughts immediately disperse and replace it with happy memories.

...

In the end Haruhi found out that Ardai tried to confess to her, but he failed and she didn't understand.

'Ouch.' Is the only word I can describe that conversation.

And with Hikaru and Karou...

It was a complete mess.

~Flashback~

Silence emitted through the room and it's like Haruhi's motions slowed down. She slapped Hikaru for insulting Ardai and telling Haruhi to get back to work.

Hikaru was obviously jealous for Haruhi having other friends than the Host Club. I knew the Twins background, so it only made sense that they would be protective over a friend.

"Haruhi." I say sternly and stand up form my chair, making eyes go from the Twins and Haruhi to me.

"We're supposed to be your friends! Are we or aren't we?!" Hikaru yelled out into the silent room, anger filling his face.

He stormed off, Karou following close behind him.

That wasn't necessary Books, I think there might have been another way to handle that I sign to her pitifully. While I do think it wasn't necessary, I don't blame her, Hikaru is a very stern and stubborn boy, so that's probably the only way Haruhi saw the way to communicate with him.

"Yea, I know, it just happened so fast." Haruhi trailed off at the end and I walk over to put a hand on her shoulder, doing my best to comfort her.

~End Of Flashback~

Currently we're seeing Ardai out so he can finish his job. We then see Karou walking out with Hikaru's clothes, "Sorry for what I said, I was out of line." Karou apologized to Ardai.

'Oh.' I deadpan in realization.

Karou was filling in for Hikaru, after all, Karou is the one who's been making sure Hikaru stays out of trouble, so it's only common.

"I'm sorry for what I said, it was out of line." Karou sheepishly smiles while rubbing the back of his neck and Ardai smiles.

"It's no problem. See ya later Haruhi." Ardai turns towards Haruhi and rides off, leaving with a final wave.

As Karou and Haruhi were talking, my hearing aids rang in my ears, a piercing, high-pitch sound. And it hurt like a bitch.

I wince and quickly take my f/c hearing aids out, and that familiar silence and confusion fills the air around me as I can't hear anything anymore. Though ever since my hearing aids, I had wondered how I lived so long without them, since it's definitely not easy to try and read lips 24/7.

Before I can tell is anyone had asked me a question, I turned them around and carefully scanned my hearing aid, looking for anything that might have damaged it.

'Maybe I damaged them when I feel yesterday...' I thought as I trailed off at the end, a little sadness in eyes.

Hearing aids weren't exactly cheap, and I just feel bad for having to take them out and inspect them, I shouldn't be doing this. I need to be more careful.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and look up to see Mori looking down at me.

Ba-dum

Ba-dum

What is this? Why is my heart like this, and this feeling... it doesn't feel bad, but it's like it's an aching and craving. Why?

I see his mouth move ever so slightly and then it closes once he looks down to see my hearing aids in my hand.

'Did his heart beat like that too?'

He starts signing, interrupting my thoughts.

Are they broken?

Not really, they might just have a scratch

We sign back and forth until I put my hearing aids back in to hear a certain sentence that I wasn't ready for.

"Haruhi, how would you like to go on a date with me?"

"..."

"..."

"..."

Tamaki's in his corner again.
