The deep-ocean Kels have a prophecy, and to Ande, it's no longer just a story. With her village safe, she can finally turn her attention to the name the Kels have given her: the Singer, the one who will bring the rest of her people back to the water. But there's a problem. She's not sure that belief is correct, and if it is, she has no idea how to activate her powers.

The search for answers leads Ande on a hunt for the original prophecy, which might tell her more than the version that's been passed down among the Kels. With war on the horizon and other, more sinister signs of the prophecy's end roiling the ocean, the journey soon becomes a race.

Against time.

Against her own people.

And against whatever great force threatens to drown the remaining islanders whether there's someone there to save them or not.
