Chapter 9

Veronica's fast running car stopped in front of a hospital ,

She came out immediately and her men carried out unconscious Massimo out of the car ,

The nurses rushed and layed him down on stretcher and everyone ran towards the hospital ,

Anxious Veronica was running parallel with the moving stretcher , the nurses took the patient inside the operation theater .

The docter interrupted Veronica ,

" You have to stay here , mam"

She looked at docter , " do take care of him , do whatever to save him !! " ,

She started stepping back , " keep me updated " ,

She turned around ,

Her expression got changed into rage and she walked towards the exit .

The Kingston Mansion' s door got open ,

Veronica Kingston stepped into the house where a family get to gather was happening , but she didn't give a fuck about it ,

She walked in aggressively ,

Everyone looked at her ,

" Hey !! There sis----" , Steven was about to greet her cousin but he got interrupted by the slap he got from her ,

Everyone got shocked while she walked past him ,

" Where is Dad !?" , She asked the Mark,
He pointed outside ,

She briskly walked towards her father who was sipping his wine ,

He looked at his daughter , " hey honey !! " ,

" Don't honey me Dad !! " , " I want your gun ! "

" What ?"

" Your GUN !!" , she shouted ,

Ronald took his gun out of his coat and handed over to his daughter ,

She turned stepped into the house where everyone was terrified about what she is about to do now ,

She stood infront of the Steven and pointed the gun over his temple ,

" If anything , I mean ANYTHING !! would happen to him , I won't hesitate a BIT to shoot you " ,

She starred deeply into his eyes , one could see the raging fire in her eyes which would burn everything in a split of the second ,

" I--I didn't mean to hurt him , I just wanted to scare him off " , Steven explained himself,

" I don't give a FUCK !! " ,

" WAIT , what happened " , Ronald ask ,

" Ask your dear nephew " , she said ,

" I told you , I am with you and I will take care of him , he is my aim !! " ,

She shoved the gun over his temple lightly , " you are trying to act over smart , Steven , do not even dare " ,

Steven gulped ,
" You-you don't worry , I will take care of him , I will pay the hospital bills "

He ran towards the door .

Veronica was sitting in the reading room , while constantly clicking the pen in and out , Massimo was all over her mind .

Her phone immediately lightens up , she grabbed it ,

" Hello "

Veronica walked towards the hospital room in a fast speed ,

She stopped infront of the door and it got open ,

" Hey " , she said ,

Massimo was talking to Adam while lying on the bed ,

He looked at the door where Veronica was standing with bunch of flowers in her hand ,

" Hey " , he said while getting up but Adam grabbed him and helped him to sit comfortably ,

She walked in and placed the flowers over the table nearby ,

She came closer to Massimo's bed and sat on the chair ,

Adam left the room ,

She smiled , " how are you feeling ? "

" Disappointed " , he replied with sadness in his voice ,

" Why did not you tell me about your plan earlier ? " , " I would have helped you with more efficiency "

He took a deep sigh ,
" I have been betrayed before and I did not want that to happen again , especially when I'm in the search of my lovely Laura " ,

Veronica looked down ,

Suddenly a hand touch her hand , she looked up and saw Massimo resting his hand over her,

" But I do trust you now , thank you for saving my life " , he said

She smiled and rested another hand over his , " now we will find her and destroy Steven " ,

Massimo chuckled ,

" Now I think u should rest " , she got up and  looked deeply into his eyes ,

She leaned in and kissed his forehead ,

" Get well soon "
